The answer is yes, 2nd visit in 14 months and it is the first time we have stayed in the same hotel more than once.
Just a couple of negative points first, the hotel info clearly states no reserving sun beds but some guests still do it. Please don't do this there is always more than enough to go around and the sun shines everywhere in Tenerife not just on your sun beds. The 2nd point has been mentioned more than once and it is to do with smoking in public areas. We have had a smoking ban in the UK for a few years now because of the facts to do with passive smoking and the effects on peoples health. Tenerife doesn't seem to care about peoples health and is decades behind the UK. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL PROBLEM BUT A TENERIFE PROBLEM.
I would like the hotel to research the problem it could end up being one of the leaders in looking after peoples health and one of the first in Tenerife to go no smoking in public areas. Rant over.
We were met in reception by Gilda one of the butlers and her first words were Welcome home. Then Kim from management turned up with another warm welcome. The room 208 was a superior room and was fantastic, the first things to see when the door into the room was opened was a daily paper ( the same one we got 14 months ago, top marks ) and a birthday cake for my wife and bottle of bubbly.
There is so many good things to say about this hotel but what makes it special is that it is like a family. It starts with Kim from management, not always sitting behind a desk but hands on and always talking to guests. Then you have the butlers Debbie, Gilda and Vanessa. If you want any info or advice these are the people to see. Please don't be afraid to ask them anything they are always helpful. Then you have the brilliant Montoya in the pool bar and equally as good Ruth on the breakfast terrace. Some of the staff you don't always see in a hotel are the cleaners, these are the best we have ever had. One day I spilt some suntan cream on the balcony and when I wiped it up you would expect it to bring a little dirt up, not here.
We talked to a lot of guests on different packages and they seemed delighted with what they were on. In our opinion we like B&B because we travel to Tenerife a lot and know where is good to eat. Plenty of good places to eat nearby, we always avoid the ones were someone is standing outside trying to get you to go in. Portofinos on site was very good.
We need and start to see more of the world, but whenever we return to Tenerife this hotel will be the first on the list. All the staff are fantastic but we have a soft spot for Gilda, Montoya and Ruth. Keep up the high standards and please look at the smoking issue.
