I have just come back from camping at Mountain Zebra National Park, and my fiance and I had a fantastic time. We spent a long weekend at the park and wished it had been longer. The campsites are fairly big and well spaced out, with a basic, but adequate and clean ablution and kitchen. Ablutions were well kept and maintained regularly. Our first night was -2 degress celcius, but that did not deter us at all, we still had loads of fun. We had breakfast at the resturant and enjoyed it, no complaints. And the shop stocks the basic neccesities. Most of our time was spent self driving and searching for the rhino, cheetah and buffalo amongst other criters (aardwolf and bat eared foxes). The activities on offer are morning and night drives, cheetah tracking and guided walks. We went on the cheetah tracking, guided by the head ranger, Michael Paxton, and it was a truly amazing experience. We also went on a night drive and were lucky enough to spot a spotted genet and a couple of owls and other creatures. All in all, a great experience and we cant wait to go again.
