We booked three rooms on 26th January 2013, two of them to be occupied by 2 persons(double bed rooms at Rs 1200) and one by 6(suite for rs 1600). At the time of booking and checking in, requested the hotel staff to provide additional beds, pillows and blankets for the third room. They agreed. However, the extra bed, pillows or blankets were never provided despite repeated requests. The management cared the least. The good points now - the suite was equipped with LCD televisions, water purifier and refrigerator. The other rooms were equipped with CRT televisions, sufficient charging points and Mortein mosquito repellant.
The hotel also had an eating place in the lobby. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food quality was great but service quality is average at best with one person serving the main course one item at a time. On complaining, it seemed they were overwhelmed by the Republic day rush and the staff was undertrained or inexperienced to handle it.
The railway station as well as the beach and waterfront is 10 minutes walk in alternate directions. Cycle vans are available aplenty. Recommended - Yes
