“Very beautiful place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is one of the best CM property. I am a beach person hence i will rate it after goa and pondicherry CM property. its a very beautiful place well placed in the lap of himalayas.we stayed in the valley resort as well as the tree house built above this property which is also a CM property.plenty of activities and very friendly staff. rooms are warm and cosy. oil heater in the rooms makes the stay more warm and comfortable.Must visit if you like visiting virgin places. we also went to jogeswar which is one of the famous lord shiva's jyotirling.

A steep ride takes you to the Manipur Villa, the more secluded of the two Mahindra properties in Binsar. The well equipped log huts make for a pleasant stay. The extended wooden balcony is a great place to sit out to watch the fog descend over the forest during early hours of the morning and the sun light up the flora later hours of the day. Binsar is essentially popular with bird watchers; we spotted few just sitting outside our balcony. If quiet is what you like, be selective about the room you want to stay in. It is very silent here till you have a group of noisy families move in next door.

The Villa offers buffet meals (per person) that can be a bit steep for non members. Food is good and there is wide variety on offer. Be prepared for delays on days when many turn up at the same time for meals. On good days you can expect personal attention.

The housekeeping staff (Asha & Puran Singh) do a fine job of keeping the apartments clean. We found our room a bit dank the first day but opening doors and windows brings in fresh air. However, being in the jungle you will be compelled to "shut all" at night to keep away from insects and any wildlife (monkeys & langurs) creeping in. Visitors are advised not to step out for walks along lonely stretches as leopards have been spotted around the area.

Located a distance away from most places of interest a car has to be hired if you are not travelling in your own vehicle that will add to your travel costs unless you are here to unwind with a book, take a short walk to the villages around (during the day) and just laze around.

Room Tip: Best to choose a corner room for privacy or valley facing rooms for better views.

We stayed at Manipur Villa which is highly recommended. The Manipur Villa is situated on top of a hill at a very steep ride from the main resort in their Jeep. Traveling from the Main resort to Manipur Villa is indeed a very exciting ride.
If you are travelling with kids then the main resort is recommended as they have more activities for kids. The rooms we stayed overlooked a valley and the view was magnificent. The cottage is well planned and clean. The early morning bird watching trek is highly recommended.
The buffet spread is good. The only irritating factor was the extra charged for transportation from the Manipur Villa to the Main Resort. Also the frequency of jeeps plying the route is poor resulting in a lot of time wasted in just waiting for the Jeep. One feels cheated in asking to pay for a ride which should have been complementary. (In the Mahindra Munnar property such rides are free)

Room Tip: Manipur Villa - Cottage/room overlooking the valley. If travelling with kids then book in main resor...

I & My Family Checked on the 26/09 @ the Manipur Villa (Log Hut Cottage's on the opposite side of the Binsar Villa. The Check in was smooth with Front office staff Naveen & Balajee @ the Binsar Villa completing the formalities in a jiffy.

We had to take the in-house SUV of Mahindra to the Manipur Villa, which was scary with just one vehicle to move up/down the road!

We were greeted by Som Dutt the Front office/Restaurant executive @ The Manipur Villa, soft spoken Som Dutt showed us the cottages of 1 BR with the best views of the valley, I must thank him for his patience & time for taking us around the villa which was spread at all sorts of levels.

Finally we settled down at cottage # 2222, which was a nice 1BR, with a kitchenette, a balcony with valley view.

The cottages were good from the interiors & the bathroom to was good. However, the spring bed's were creaking in the night making it uncomfortable due to the noise. The exteriors of the log huts were a bit shabby, due to weather wear & tear & thus needed a paint/renovation from the out urgently.

There is only a single restaurant @ the Manipur & funzone for the kids, no lobby. Which was disappointing, there was a lawn which was good enough, on the rear though.

The lay out of the restaurant was okay @ the manipur villa, where we had our Food was tasty & excellent, Chef Shanti Prasad was always there to get our feedback on the quality & variety of food. We were left totally speechless when the very next day as promised by the Chef that he would make for us a Special Rajasthani Dish "Dal Baati Choorma, with Gatta Ka Sabzi". It was truly mouth watering & we were truly stumped.

However, my family felt cramped at the Manipur because there was no space to stroll or hang out. So we decided to check in at the Binsar Villa on 27/09. I would like to thank Mahesh Bisht The front office, Manager who immediately arranged for our transfer's from the Manipur & we settled down to the Binsar villa room # 2201.

The 1 Br was pretty good in terms of size, with a kitchenette at disposal. Though here the bed was good, no noises/creeking. The bath room was good. The furniture was a let down the relaxing chair had it's net dilapidated, the upholstery of the sofa's/ curtain were all faded/worn out. Needed a immediate change!!!

Occupancy was poor at the Manipur/Binsar villa's, the whole of Uttarakahnd was reeling under tourist drought, due to the Kedarnath tragedy!

The lay out of restaurant/bar at the Binsar Villa was good though the Veg food was not up to the mark.We did read review's on the food @ the Tripadvisor that it was good, but that was not the case, sorry to say that Chef Jagat (Binsar villa kitchen is managed by him) nothing personal, Chef.

There was no Spa facility out here, except a normal massage in of the guest room's, with no bath facility for male/female. That is only one massage @ a time, only when the guest is finished does the next massage takes place, truly a let down.

The grrrreen cover over the resort was great, with beautiful views of the valley from the fun zone.It is a good property & well maintained (Binsar Villa) from the exteriors.Full marks to house keeping @ manipur/binsar villa for doing a good job.

There is a real problem on the gates of the entrance to the Binsar valley, it is constantly encroached by taxi operator's, who literally wait to pounce upon you with their contact cards & daily trip details. The Management needs to attend to this immediately, It does not speak well of CM Resorts. I have nothing against the taxiwala's, there is space adjacent/opposite to the CM- Binsar that they can operate from this place. They taxi walas are doing their job & let them do it, nothing wrong in it But, there should be a place not right at the entrance of the gate.Pretty bad.....

Yes, It was time to leave for home on 28/09, with that we took back sweet memories of Lovely Binsar.....That we would come back & hope the management would take in our feedback in the right spirit & set things right with a change for the better!!!

Although resort is outskirts of city but it's worth taking the pain going there.
We went in december. Rooms were beautifully decorated and very spacious. In the evening we had campfire and DJ. As usual like other club mahindra resorts, food was delicious.

There is not many activities going on there and not many places to go outside but one can relax at resort.

Club Mahindra's Binsar valley resort is located in a scenic place and is a nice place to relax. Campus has no swimming pool but offers lots of other activities- rock climbing, trekking and games to compensate.

Food and service is at par with club mahindra standards

However, like most of their resorts, it is little far from city, which has its merits and de-merits.

There're not too many accommodation options in Binsar area and Club Mahindra is easily the best of the pack, provided it is affordable to you.

Room Tip: Can't think of any... You may not have too many choices anyway

Regarding the property, it is well-maintained. Liked the swings below our room- where we sun-basked. Nice grocery shop with gifts. Took back scrubs and gift packs, which were a hit. Food was excellent- staff very courteous.
The excursions to various temples nearby are memorable. Particularly, Paital Bhairava- not for the chicken-hearted, Very difficult passage to the cave, but once there you feel as if you are in heaven. It is one holiday that I have very good memories of and would like to visit again.
The only problem is reaching there from Delhi.

Room Tip: We let them select the room. It was a first floor room- had a good view. The best thing was to wake...
