“Good Option for Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2014

In Pelling it is difficult to find good food, atleast for North Indians. This place is good enough with variety of foods but I would suggest if can eat then then order for chow men or soups. That is what they excel in.
Highly Recommended.

“Always ended up there for lunch & dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

Melting point was a restaurant which was open in the month of March when the tourist season has just started. Rest of the restaurants were closed. The restaurant is amazing & food & service is very good. I did read some negative reviews but I did not get any negative experience.

The waiter recommended some great dishes like Fengsha rice, faley & the food was amazing. I had Tongba there which is a local beer from Millet.

The restaurant also serves alcohol & it was great to drink while having a chat with locals

“Hot cream, nothing more”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

We have been traveling in India for almost two months now and haven't once not finished a meal, but the korma at Melting Point was inedible. It tasted like butter and glue. The butter chicken was gross too. The chicken itself was tender, but the sauce tasted like hot mayonnaise and ketchup.
The menu was quite extensive, but they claimed to only be serving a small fraction of it. None of their local Sikkimese dishes were available. Even their eggplant dishes were claimed to be "out of season", but we saw eggplant for sale earlier that day at a nearby market.

“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

Had a meal here and didn't fell sick(no stomach problem). View from the balcony seating area is great. Food freshly cooked. Eat Chinese as it seems to be better cooked than other stuff. Price very reasonable.

“not a good place to eat”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

the place is very very average and the food not up to standard. The waiter who attended to us was rude and not co operative. They refused to serve us any tea or coffee after lunch and the ambience is bad.
