Upon arriving at the hotel, the lobby is enchanting, the whole hotel is a feast for the eyes, however the rooms are average and the restaurant not so good, a little bit dissapointing also regarding hotel staff that could be friendlier.

It is a lovely haveli and the rooms are very nice. It has a beautiful interior courtyard that is very relaxing after a long day. Continental breakfast comes with the room but the staff is a little weird about you asking for anything extra, like more hot water for your tea. I was told it was not possible (rather sternly). Yes, it is possible, it just costs more. Also had a little trouble paying the night before for my room as I was leaving very early in the morning. When I was leaving in the morning the desk clerk woke up from a dead sleep, went straight for the calculator and told me I needed to pay for the room. I repeated twice that I had paid, and what I had paid (no receipt was given to me the night before). Saying it twice seemed to have the ring of truth and I was allowed to leave. Used a day guide named Bablu who was excellent.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are good. It's quiet at night, I did not hear any barking dogs from my room on...

The haveli is beautiful and very interesting to visit however the staff seemed to follow us around everywhere and ask too many personal questions and as we seemed to be the only guests there, this was just too much. We were surrounded by 3 staff members who were watching us eat. Back in our room after dinner, we didn't feel like coming out again to sit in the patio as we feared being pestered again. I also had to ask repeatedly to get our passports back. The electricity kept cutting off and in the end we ended up packing our suitcases using our torches as the room was dark. Also, the massive step from the room to the bathroom was quite dangerous in the dark!

My mother and I shared the amazing presidential suite last week. It was freezing, and there was no hot water. We could not get heating or extra blankets, this is despite the cost being higher than our five star hotel in Agra.
Give this a miss and go on the much cheaper and better Hotel Mandawa Heveli in the next town, where the owner is always on site and the staff very attentive.
Here, the awful breakfast was added to the bill and overall with a modest dinner for two the bill came to over 10,000, which appalled our driver. He also thought we were not as safe as we should have been.
It is also very noisey and we had to keep the large block of wood over our door to stop the young male staff from coming in at all times! Then they followed us everywhere. This was unnerving as we were the only guests.

Room Tip: Don't risk it.

The staff at the reception and in the restaurant are really not welcoming and not friendly at all compared to the hotels we have been across Rajasthan. The rooms are very noisy and the electrical equipement is very old. They do not have wi-fi although the cost of rooms are really high compared to the other hotels in the area. I really do not recommend this place.

The hotel is very nice, beautifully decorated, with great rooms. The staff was otherwise quite friendly, but then they tried to charge 5 times normal price for a bottle of water. Dissapointing.
Would not visit again.
