We stayed 4 days with 6 families, renting 3 cottages. All 3 cottages were outdated and all in need of updating, Photos on the Mecure website of cottages are not what we had in our 3 cottages, the lounges where quite uncomfortable, just square foam against the walls. It is not run as a hotel, most cottages are privately owned and are rented out by Mecure, so you do not get daily room service eg. cleaning/new towels/coffee etc. if you want to pay $79 you can each day, you have to bring your own pool towels, or you can pay $2 for each pool towel you use, we did not realise any of this until we arrived. we had 6 of us in our 3 Bedroom cottage 4 adults 2 children, we had 2 face towels ? 4 classes to drink from ? not enough plates etc. We had a dirty plate in our dishwasher, went to use a bowl from the cupboard that still had remnents of chips in the bowl. We had to go out and buy dishwashing powder for the dishwasher and washing up as 2 satchels where not enough for our stay, one small thin tea towel ? The main pool area is lovely but you cannot bring any food or drinks into the area, as they have their restaurant here. There is a smaller heated pool with bbq facilities in another spot where you can bring/cook food. There was a TV but no DVD player. The beds were only single beds we had 4 , not so good when your husband is 6foot 3, half his legs hanging off the bed, we assumed being a Mecure they would be King Singles, as most hotel rooms these days have King Singles standard, we had 1 queen bed that was not so comfortable. Overall for the price as it is not cheap, we were quite disappointed at the service and supplies you were given for your stay. The girls at reception were lovely and trying to organise 6 families there were lots of phone calls, changes etc. . We thought for the price we could have stayed elsewhere that had more modern accomodation and better servicing and cleanliness. I have never left a negative review before in any accommodation we have stayed in, but the whole group felt the same. I think you could do much better elsewhere for the money. Or if you do decide to stay atleast you know what to expect re accom, and not daily serviced. I think the cleanliness of the kitchen and supplies of the cottages should be addressed.

Thank you for your constructive feedback, we are currently going through a refurbishment process throughout the resort and at current are approximately 80% of the way through.
I believe that you stayed in rooms that have not yet been refurbished as for the cleaning i am disgusted to hear that the room was not cleaned or stocked correctly to start with. I have had meetings with all department heads concerned ensuring that a repeat of such does not occur.
I am sorry that you feel that your money was not well spent and that given the chance I feel that on your return you will find a noticable change.
