What used to be an iconic symbol of China has become a well-worn village of no particular consequence. The several Taoist temples are in disuse and now being used for assembling Christmas decorations or storing furniture/equipment, The adjacent stream is plugged with plastic containers. The streets are littered with garbage. The mountains provide a gorgeous setting but the quaint village has 'matured'. So sad.
