We booked to stay at the Hotel Jicin but were given rooms in the Hotel
Rieger, under the same ownership, a few minutes' walk away. Breakfast
was served at the Jicin, and we had to pay our bill there, so this was a
minor nuisance. It would have been a more major nuisance if the weather
had been worse.
The rooms were comfortable, spacious and quiet, though the bedlinen was
a little strange. Breakfast was above-average. The restaurant at the
Jicin also serves very good dinners. The Rieger has a pizzeria; we
didn't eat there.
The Rieger has a small carpark.
Wifi at the Rieger worked well, once we had realised that the password,
which we had been given in UPPERCASE, actually needed to be entered in
lowercase. Blame the staff in the pizzeria for that.
