“Welcome to paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and have been dreaming of the day we'll return ever since. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had entered our own slice of paradise. The concierge was extremely helpful in planning day trips for us, the bar tenders were friendly and terrific, and the entire staff radiated genuine care and concern for us our entire stay. Nothing could have been more perfect.

We had a beautiful beach, two charming pools to ourselves, a Devine massage at the spa, and honeymoon perfection we'll remember forever.

We would definitely recommend renting a car if you will stay for longer than a day or two, so you can get around and see all the area has to offer.

We stayed here as the first part of our honeymoon. Having booked a lagoon cabin, we were instantly upgraded to cabin #1, a beach-front cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here: the staff were wonderful, we almost had the pools exclusively to ourselves, the walks along the beach were great, and the property is full of amazing wildlife including a resident monitor lizard!

If you don't like bugs, or don't like being woken up in the morning by birds, or don't like having to deal with falling tree debris, then this place is definitely not for you. If you love the idea of a private cabin nestled in a bit of the rainforest, but still with all mod-cons, then you can't beat Kewarra.

The restaurant on site isn't too pricey compared to some of the places in the neighbourhood, especially looking towards Trinity Beach, but if you do want to head out there's a bus stop conveniently located at the entrance of the resort which will even take you in Cairns if you're patient, with a few interesting stops along the way. Otherwise, the staff are more than happy to organise day trips out of course.

A special mention must be made to Linette, who really went beyond the extra mile to make sure our stay was fantastic.

Room Tip: Beach cabins may be noisier at night, but lagoon cabins may suffer from more mosquitoes.

What a place! The grounds are totally under a canopy of trees. If its raining, and it will be raining, you wont get wet! The trees are so dense the water doesn't get through. Its amazing. The villa we stayed in was clean, fully equipped and spacious. The staff and management made our stay they pleasant. we were like family.

Room Tip: They are all good rooms

We just spent 5 nights at Kewarra Beach Resort with our 2 daughters aged 3 and 5. Right from arrival the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the welcome cocktail and kids drink was a nice touch. The fact that there is a beach front so the kids could not only swim and play in the pools but to play and build sand castles on the beach and to swim in the ocean was great.
They have a beach shack which is a very fun and relaxing environment where in Friday night they had wood fired pizzas which were very tasty and seems very popular with locals. We meet some very fun and interesting people there.
The beautiful surroundings with the cabins located all over the resort all seemed to offer a unique experience and felt very private. We had a wallaby on a few occasions having a sleep below our balcony.
We found all staff very accommodating of our needs and able top adapt different food options to suit the kids fussy meal choices. The food for us was a major highlight. There was not a dish I could fault or that I would not want to try again. I would suggest to try for an entree the twice cooked quail salad or the duck spring rolls. For a main definitely try the harissa smoked barramundi or the Kangaroo - have this medium rare it is amazing. There was an american couple who ordered the same dish for both of them two nights in a row they were so impressed.
We definatley plan on going back as the whole experience from location, surroundings, staff, room, resort facilities, the beach front and the food made our family holiday extraordinary.

My now wonderful wife recently arranged to conduct our wedding at the Kewarra Beach Resort and I am still in awe of the product they supplied on the big day. From the initial meetings to our check out the morning after every single person, without exception, was an absolute pleasure to meet and unlike many places in the Far North, the staff all conveyed the message that they loved where they were and what they do, so refreshing!
Having cause to visit many of the different rooms our guests were staying in left me with the overwhelming sense of isolation and serenity offered by each cabin, and yet my guests were near enough to simply drop in for a beer and a chat. As for the room we stayed in it was pure magic and every small detail was done simply and done well.
As for the wedding and the reception I can honestly say it was perfect, and I don’t say that lightly, all guests bubbled on about the venue, the staff, the service and most importantly the food and beverages.
Upon leaving we were reminded to remember to book a night back for our first anniversary, well let me tell you after seeing the restaurant menu it won’t be anywhere near that long. Well done and Thank You.

Room Tip: Ask for a lagoon cabin, they are perfect.

Dreamtime in tropical Kewarra,. Nice and clean rooms. Excellent service, quiet beach and poolside. We stayed 5 days. Location is great, for trips to Port douglas and Cape Tribulation were easy to make.
Loved the pizzatime at the beachshack with locals.

The hotel was nestled back in a residential area. It was on the ocean/bay with terrific views. The individual cabins were very comfortable. The food was outstanding as was the service. This is a great place to stay and use as your base when sightseeing the area.
