We Decided to Hike from Ping An to Tiantou, the hike was incredible the views and flora we mesmerizing it is a must do if you have time! It thundered and rained while we were hiking so make sure you have some thing to keep your bag dry. We also encounters two small snakes (50cm long) I'd rccomed hiking with a stick so you can soooo them out the way and the stick coms in handy to knock down the countless spider webs in the path, which would otherwise attach to your face :)
One annoying thing is the lack of signage to Tiantou once you leave Ping An, most villagers on the way wantd money to show us the way or would even tell us it was hours further etc etc really tedious and bothersome but we pushed on and eventually a kind old lady( theyre not all kind trust me) confirmed our directions. We ended up taking over 6 hours to get there but this was due to the deluge of rain, snakes and loads of spider webs( probably because we were on a disused path:) don't forget mis directions from money demanding locals.....
All in all a great hike would do it again! And the views along the way are spectacular! Get away from the cords you will enjoy it.
