“A resort-hotel well equipped with facilities but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

I stayed here with family and friends last weekend. I think that the resort-hotel is well equipped with facilities, both for sports and recreation, and one can do many activities from water sports to ziplining and everything in between. Even if it's far from the city center, you can spend days without getting bored within the resort premises because of the many activities that you can do. There are many posh restaurants, and although it's a bit on the pricey side, it's still popular among the guests for good reason---food and service. For the most part, their staff was nice and attentive. I must say, room service was quick. We also enjoyed Fantasyland! However, the water coming out of the bathroom was not so clean. Some of us saw a tadpoles in the shower rooms. In addition to that, we booked our return boat tickets to Dumaguete through them; however, the front desk people and the resort's port representative(s) seemed to be out of sync. We waited in vain for the port representative to confirm the purchase and almost got stranded in Dapitan. If you are availing of their package tours, verify or confirm the inclusions beforehand, especially the rides and attractions included in the pass to Fantasyland. The best rides are not included, and you'll need to pay for them individually. Overall, despite everything, everyone enjoyed the trip.

Well I like the warm welcome before 3 years ago than my recent experience last Holy Thursday... my cottage had defective shower and situated on top of the hill with such dangerous path for my 2 children and elderly mom... adding tiredness after a 12 hours landtrip. But nevertheless I enjoyed so much the clean white sand beach! Nice cultural dance presentation during dinner. It seems I can't have enough of it after a 2 days stay. God bless everyone!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days in March 2014. She visited Dakak on a prior occasion and really wanted to stay here for the weekend to see what it was like.

It's a very different location compared to our other hotels, on or near busy streets. Aside from an occasional van driving around the grounds there's no traffic noise. But it's also about 25 minutes away from everything else. Probably not an issue for most people who visit the resort as they likely stay on site for the duration not frequently head back into town. If you do need to go in you either need to call a cab or try to catch a van at the right time.

The bungalows are nice but I don't think they've received an overhaul for a while... Could probably use a retouch of paint here and there and the counter in the bathroom looked like it was pulling away from the wall a bit, that type of thing. But the rooms themselves were cozy. Nice big bathroom with a small fridge. Well placed fan to move the cool air from the A/C around. The main issue I had is there were alot of ants. We ended up taking more than a few in our luggage to our next destination when we left. One night it felt like I had bugs crawling all over me.

There's a handful of restaurants. We had a good pizza at the Italian place. If you stop in you should try the tiramisu. Then there's the Bamboo Bar a short distance away. Good food but just like the resort it's a bit on the pricey side.

They have lights in the trees they turn up at night, was nice to just wander around the grounds. There was a bonfire on the beach but we missed that.

My first time to Dakak last weekend, and it surely is a paradise to be. They have friendly and courteous staff. The food is fairly priced, except for the drinks which are quite expensive. The amenities are good and are available 24 hours. It's a great place for relaxation with friends and family.

My husband and I spent the whole day in Dakak park and beach resort, last week when we went to Dapitan city. What we see on television about it is true. It is a place which you shouldn't miss.
It has a scenic view, and aside from taking a dip in the pool and enjoying the powdery sandy beach, there are lots of fun stuff to do. For the adrenaline junkie, There are zipline and ATV to satisfy your adventure cravings. Jet ski and other water activities. Now to complete a grandeur visit to Dakak park and beach resort, give yourself a fantastic gastronomical experience. Dine in at the Bamboo restaurant and enjoy watching the cultural show.

I've heard so much about Dakak from people who've visited since it opened; the reviews varied but most said they were satisfied, but a few others were disappointed. So, I wasn't expecting much but just really wanted to see it for myself. Having just left another island with beautiful white sand beaches (Samal), I was surprised to see how beautiful the Dakak beach was - very clean with clear blue sparking waters. The resort itself is huge and during our stay, hardly 25% occupied except for one night when there were two huge groups of students from nearby colleges. Their pools are also very clean and very well maintained. But what impressed me is their food which was very tasteful and inexpensive compared to other resorts we've been to in this trip. Their service is excellent. We stayed for two nights - I wished we had booked an extra night.

I consider Dakak Park and Beach Resort my first paradise. Although there's really nothing special about the place, this is a good place to relax for the weekend. The place was really big. There's a big pool that supposed to have a dolphin (but they said, it died), a few more swimming pools, restaurants and a casino.

The room was OK, but needs some major upkeeps. The room is old and a bit dirty. We took the honeymoon package when we get a 2 night stay for a lower price.

The food was good for the price that you pay. The breakfast was delicious and you will have a chance to watch the beautiful sea and white sand while eating. They serve good breakfast buffet. In the evening (I'm guessing ONLY on SATURDAY or SUNDAY), they offer a show. We saw the Filipiniana show while we're having dinner.

They have a hiking trail, but PLEASE DON'T TRY IT! We tried it when we were there. The trail itself was broken and old, and when you get on the top there's nothing there. There's an overview of the whole resort and nothing else. We were expecting to see a small shop there, but there's nothing.

The bad thing about this resort is that most of the time, many locals go there for events, so expect many people.
