“They made us feel like family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We have been traveling to Aruba for 14 years and always loved our time spent there. This year we decided to try a hotel away from the busy highrise area. We were very happy with this
choice. Arias and Flory make everyone feel so welcome and Rooms are some of the best we have ever stayed in. The layout of the facility and the ambience is laidback and peaceful. The pools are outstanding and the outdoor showers are a couples treat.
The made to order Breakfasts and afternoon treats by Gabriel, the head chef, were really enjoyable.
Take time for thier Rino tour and the Aruba Bob Snorkeling and really see some of the beauty of the island. You do not want to miss either of them.
We will see them all again next year!

Room Tip: We stayed in Suite One and it is so romantic and very well appointed.

Dear Kelly

For starters let me thank you for taking the time to write this review... I realize how valuable everyone's time is and I really do appreciate it... It was a pleasure having dinner with you and your husband at Texas de brasil.... I also want to thank you for being my mule and bringing in my Amazon purchases... Every now and then when I'm booking a reservation a guest Asks me if there's something I need from the states... Kelly was one of those special people.... What Kelly wasn't prepared for is that my daughters had already put some items in my Amazon cart unbeknownst to me and when I drop shipped her my sexy new iPhone five case my daughter's books arrived as well... Poor kelly had to bring 15 pounds of books to Aruba... We really did appreciate your efforts and really look forward to your vacation next year with us as well... Promise this time no books....

To my future guests that are reading this....

It's super important to make sure that you call me direct... I'm always available to chat or email to make sure your vacation goes smoothly... The truth is we are a very special place and are not for everyone... We are a mom-and-pop operation that try to go above and beyond to accommodate our nine rooms... We try to make everyone's vacation special...

Helpful Aruba INFO.... The bus stops right in front of our hotel the cost is $2.25 and the bus does make change... I do however recommend renting a car... You should be able to rent one at the airport for as low as $35 per day with taxes and insurance included... Although the buses are incredible to get to the most beautiful beaches with my super incredible beach chairs and coolers a car would be more appropriate...

I look forward to hosting your vacations and look forward to chatting with you....

First of all, thank-you to Arias and his family at Club Arias for making this a very memorable vacation! You guys are amazing!

We were picked up by Arias (himself) at the airport on Saturday night. We were instantly made welcome and felt right at home (and we hadn't even arrived at the hotel yet). We were amazed when we arrived at Club Arias. The grounds were beautifully designed and layed out around 2 pools. The rooms were cozy and well air conditioned. We were able to keep busy, taking full advantage of the pool, foosball table, pool table, and dart board in the commons area. We were introduced to Gabrial, who owned the restraunt on site. He cooked us phenominal meals every day.

This isn't a 5 star high-rise hotel. If you are looking for that, go to the other end of the island. This is a quaint, family run B&B, where the owners go completely out of their way to make you want to come back to Aruba time and time again. Arias was more than helpful getting us settled in, and helping us to explore the island. Being right in front of the mini-bus stop, we were able to take the public transportation, meet locals, eat at local restraunts, whilst saving a small fortune on car rentals and taxi cabs.

Visit Aruba, stay with Arias, explore the less touristy side of the Island, eat the local fare, and as Arias says, "experience the REAL Aruba".

Thanks Again Arias, We'll see you again soon!

Brad

Dear Brad D

For starters thank you so much for taking the time to write this review.... I am so glad that you enjoyed my side of the island and I anxiously wait your return ... It's 1 AM here in Aruba..., i started my day at 3 AM when I was awoken by a new three-star trip adviser review which broke my heart.... At 6 am I took seven wonderful guests on a tour around Aruba to black beach to the natural pool through the national park and ended up at Mt jamanote.... We had a wonderful day....

Then I returned some emails made all my calls... I then took the opportunity because the wind was strong To go over to my favorite beach boca grande where I kited my butt off for 3 1/2 hours...

Only to return home to Find a return guest super disappointed because the room they thought they were promised was not available... I don't think anyone can imagine how much work and effort going to making people's vacations special... I know how valuable your vacation time is....

It really does pain me so when my guests are not super happy... Between all the little perks that I offer my guests.... From the fresh Crystal light lemonade to the freshly prepared breakfast every morning by my private chef to free Wi-Fi throughout the facility to the free parking to the free calling to the United States or Canada.., To the fresh-baked pastry made available every day at 4 o'clock to the fact that I provide beach chairs ice coolers to take to the beach... I always lend out my snorkel gear because no one listens to me to bring there own.... Which they break then complain in a review that I lent them broken snorkel gear ... What else can I do ... The guy that didn't like his room seems to think that bathrobes should be in the Rooms like last year... Told him we don't have any more robes because the guests had helped themselves to them and there were none left... Btw his safe was broken in his room as well... The trifecta... So what am I going to do get up at 6am go to Costco but a safe two awesome bathrobes... Believe me he still won't be happy...

In closing your review Made my night I love that you enjoyed the club arias experience.... As always I recommend guests calling me direct to make sure everything goes smooth

The outdoor areas are just gorgeous, beautifull pool area. Owners are very friendly and helpfull.
The first two rooms (nr 7 and nr 6) we got assigned had water damage and mold on the walls, we went back to the owner and they gave us (for the 3rd time) a new and very nice room (nr 5). This room was spacieus and clean, no water damage or mold. We suspect that all apparments on the right hand side had the same problems, we spoke to a couple that stayed in appartment nr 8 and they had to check out early because of the water and mold problems that gave the lady health issues. The owners tried to clean it but the problems where too severe. We enjoyed our room, it was very nice and we enjoyed our stay, we were lucky that they had another room for us otherwise we were not able to stay here due to the mold issues. They did eveything possible to accommodate us and made us feel like honored guests. great service ranging from cake in the afternoon and lemonade and water unlimited. lots of toys for the kiddos and beach chairs free of charge. Breakfast was always perfect, Thanks Gabriel.

Room Tip: The side where rooms 6, 7 and 8 are located need some serious attention due to water and mold issues...

im glad that i could accommodate you and change your room 3 times so that you could give me your $120.83 dollars per night for you your wife and your 3 year old daughter to stay in room number 5.... in the month on January.... thank you so much for taking the time to write this review.... i know how precious peoples time is and that is why i work so hard to insure a smooth vacation experience for my guests....

future guests keep reading....

how do i insure that vacation experience....

from the free telephone calling to the us or canada.... to the fact that ice cold crystal light lemonade is made available..... ice machine always full... ice cooler provided for every guest.... the coolest beach chairs ever... pick up and drop off at the airport with one week stays.... best smelling softest linens, duvets and comforters..... a fresh breakfast with a cordon bleu honor graduate... the very famous Gabriel.... just so you know that alone with the cake is worth the 120... lets keep going.... ahhhh the cake yes every day gabriel makes a fresh cake and is served in the breakfast area at 4.... i would challenge him with a request of your favorite..... free wifi everywhere..... free parking.... two of the best tour companies in aruba on property.... Gabriel has his pizza and wings with the awesome sauce always available... i have been an always will be the best value for the dollar for my guests you could try to spend 10 times as much at the high rise an not come close to the experience i offer... i know this because i personally have been vacationing in aruba for over 25 years almost 30 days per year...... i have stayed at everyone of the high rises.... and no matter how much money i threw at them i wasnt comfortable.... i built this hotel from the ground up to make me and my family comfortable while we are on vacation in aruba.... as always i ask my guests to call me direct at 917 508 7210 or email me at arias71@yahoo.com to insure your vacation goes smooth and you get the right room at the right price... a little pre planning goes a long way.... see you in aruba soon....

While the exterior facade is a bit eclectic, once you walk through the doors your whole opinion and demeanor changes. It's probably the most comfortable and relaxing experience we've ever had in a hotel on Aruba. The rooms, to put is simply, are spectacular: spacious, well appointed, and the beds are very comfortable. Safes in every room for security, nice TV in the bedroom and a spacious sitting area - all for a nice price. All of the rooms border on either a spa-type pool or a large swimming area with ample chaises and sitting area. The daily breakfast was great.

We were particularl impressed by the friendliness of all the other guests and especially the hospitality of the owners, Arias and Flory. In fact, our first night there Arias invited us to a local Arabian restaurant (Sultan) with him, his wife, and three other couples staying at the club. It was a wonderful time with great food and great company.

While the whole island is wonderful, staying in Savaneta is a safe and great location to experience the island on a more intimate level without getting caught up in 'the high rise scene'. Club Arias is the place to saty, and we'll be back.

helpful aruba INFO... mountain climbers check out Hooiberg mountain one early morning i think its something like 550 stepsto the top... second highest spot on the island... one hell of a place to watch the sun come out of the ocean... but my favorite spot to see the sun come out of the ocean is the natural pool... i think aruba sunrise tours has an excellent tour that leaves at 6am to catch the sunrise at the pool....

I had the most wonderfull vacation in paradise and many thanks to Arias and his family to have make it possible for me. It is a perfect location with lots to enjoy in this perfect world. Fresh lemonade every day with a very good breakfast cook with love and pride. I felt like home instantely. Didn t rent a car because of my tight budget but almost all site reachable by bus. Thank you also to all the nice people that I met on the site each morning and that brought me along with them. I walked to Mangel Halto from Arias Club and it offer great snorkeling experience in cristaline blue water. Also a great local fish restaurant called Zeerover, at only 5 minutes walk from Arias place. Usually I never travel twice to the same location but would go back to this place in a hearthbeat.. Also the most comfortable bed I slept and I have been working in a big renowed hotel chained for years..Do not hesitate to pick Arias Club and enjoy life.

Gloria and Arias are the best hosts on the island. They were so accommodating and the resort has so many nice extras you will not find anywhere in Aruba. Free calls to the US, free wifi, free lemonade, lots of pool toys for the kids, awesome breakfast, spacious rooms, and the most relaxing atmosphere. We have stayed all over the High and low rise areas and this is where we will want to come back to next year. This side of the island is where you will find real Aruban culture AND the food is better and way cheaper!! If you want to fight for pool chairs and crowds of tourists, go to any big hotel or resort. If you want a vacation, go to Club Arias!

thank you again for being such a wonderful guest... i look forward to hearing that phone ringing soon with the news of your return... as well would like to thank you for your most precious time in writing this review..

to my future guests i always recommend my guests call me direct to make sure their vacation goes smooth... from the us dial my ny number that forwards to aruba 917 508 7210 or you can try my cell a bit more costly its an aruba number but in an emergency the best way to get in touch 011-297-5933408...

helpful aruba hint... i kind of always prefer guests rent cars it is the best way to see the island... the bus does stop right in front of the hotel and works... 2.25 dollars per person and they make change... when renting a car you are looking for the cheapest car you can find...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Welcome to our Club Arias Bed & Breakfast. My name is Arias Schwarz and own a bed and breakfast in Savaneta, Aruba with my wife, Flory. We first discovered the enchanting island of Aruba 20 years ago, and we were so taken with the island that we made it our annual vacation destination. On one vacation, we ventured to the southern part of the island and found Savaneta. Within Savaneta we found many treasured jewels, which included the culture and real beauty of Aruba. The beaches on the resort side paled in comparison to the beaches we found in Savaneta. The cuisine was mouth watering, welcoming and very affordable. And the people bore the true heart of the island. Savaneta was such a positive experience for both of us that we were inspired to create Club Arias Bed & Breakfast to share our new world. We want our guests to know all of the island's beauty and take in all of its charm, and we always strive to make it as affordable as possible. Our mission is to give our visitors a personable vacation that cannot be obtained from the typical hotel resorts. Our haven is a family run business. Our two daughters have a real passion for our business, and you will see them from time-to-time greeting our guests upon arrival or wishing them well upon departure. When you visit us, we want you to feel like you are part of our family and we hope to engage you with our love for this island and our love for its people. ... more   less
