This room is basically what you'd expect for the price and reputation. If you are expecting a 5-star hotel you are going to be disappointed. If you want a basic, clean room where you can sleep with a clean washroom, this is for you.
After a 1,100km drive from Italian riviera through Switzerland we just wanted a room where we could fall asleep quickly, have easy and quick access to Chateau at Fontainebleau, and saving money would be nice as we didnt expect to spend much time in the room. This was all achieved at this hotel.
48euro was super cheap and the room reflected this. The beds were a little cheaper than expected but still had a decent sleep. The room was big enough for 2 king-sized beds, so the 2 twin beds looked way too small. With all of the room it was surprising to find the washroom as small it was. The shower was really too small for comfort, though it worked well enough once.
This hotel is not really great for backpackers or those taking the train to Fontainebleau as I am not sure how good the access to the Chateau would be, but for those driving it is a great little bargain and easy to access at any time through the automated check-in system.
The 5 euro breakfast was spartan and relatively plain, but its in the hotel and you have a good selection of yogurt, apple sauce, cereal and some breads. Not bad and convenient. Realistically, the staff didnt seem to notice one-way or the other so you could likely eat something without being charged. When I paid of r our breakfast the staff almost seemed like it was an inconvenience, so maybe they would have preferred we considered it complimentary.
Free Wifi, but no mention in the room how to access it. Just need to log-on to Orange and it gives you access for 6 hours or something.
