“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Stayed at this nice hotel for three nights.
Very friendly service, lovely rooms and good food.
Bar and restaurant area very smart and relaxing.
Surrounding area very scenic.
Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast on a morning, after a good night's sleep on a comfy bed.
Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for two nights on a groupon deal because of a wedding we had and this place was a great place to stay. Its good value for money and the food is excellent, both restaurant and bar food as well as breakfast.

Staff are very nice. Rooms are of a good standard.

Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: It is worthwhile finding out if there are any rooms with kingsize bed because the standard double is...

Was to stay two nights at this hotel and endured one night only. Double room really a single. Poor pillows. Old tv set. Bad reception. Loose tiles on en suite floor. You could not call it a bathroom. Room overlooked air con tower. Breakfast was shameful. Flasks of tea! I ordered two poached eggs and that is what I got on a large dinner plate. One slice of cold soggy toast served in a basket. No condiments. No side plates. This hotel does not deserve its status. The reception area is well decorated but this is not carried on throughout the hotel. I have stayed in better bed and breakfast establishments. Extremely poor value for money.

We booked B&B in the Ballyliffen hotel for 10 April 2014. We were disappointed in the very basic room and facilities. Room cramped, ancient TV with appalling reception, couldn't see picture with the snow and couldn't hear it with the crackling sound. When we arrived and for the entire stay there was a very pervasive smell of old fat or cooking fish in the reception and dinning room. Breakfast was only ok, tables not cleared until someone stood and waited beside a dirty table to use it. No pots of tea either, hot water in thermos flasks, then no tea bags available.......!
Thankfully we had only booked one night.

Room Tip: Book elsewhere

Just returned from 2 night break, the hotel is everything you need to get away from it all. Clean, quiet and the most friendly staff I've met in an hotel. The food is of the highest quality. Looking forward to returning to this hotel.
