Saputara is a very small hill station near Nashik ... about 80 kms, 2 hours drive. The hill station has all the basic items of Indian hill station ...... a lake, cable car, sunset and sunrise points, echo point, museum, artist village, nursery. All site seeing items are very close to each other. You need a max of two days to see every thing leisurely. Saputara is a nice quaint place for family outing. It is a Vegetarian town i.e. no non-veg. Also no alcohol anywhere in town.
The hotel we stayed .... Aakar Lords' Inn is a decent hotel. Services are little slow but rooms are nice. The only issue was with there Dinner service. First day, the food was cold and fell short. Many vessels were empty by 9.30 PM.
Also I wanted to take Shirodara in the hotel, but this facility was not provided. They asked me to go to nearby hotel Shilpi, which is a bigger hotel.
The hotel has only one lift (elevator). I feel they should have two lifts. It is risky for senior citizens, if lift is out of order. Also the quality of lift is poor. Hotel owner has spent lot of money on the building, but make a big mistake on choosing a bad lift.
All in all, the place, hotel, site seeing all was fine.
