“Nice and nearly quiet hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Very friendly and helpful reception, I was now 3x in this hotel, the service is good. the rooms are clean all.
I find the breakfast a little overcharges, but all O.K. and fresh.
Round everything is sure, one can also move outdoors at night.

Room Tip: when you are a smoker, than ask for a room at the first floor.

As for 5 or even 4* this hotel might be not renovated a enough.
I strongly recommend though the New Yorker steak in the hotel restaurant.
Overall, ok for business trip for couple of nights. Great location.

Intercontinental Presidente is older hotel showing its age on rooms and hallways. Furniture is dated and warn, carpets on hallways very warn and occasionally dirty. Curtains/blinds are broken, dirty and or/missing. On my 2 week stay one of 3 elevators was out-of-service for a week.

San Pedro is relatively safe area and I did feel safe in hotel. Recommend avoiding first floor rooms with balcony. I staid once in one with a sliding door left open every day by cleaning staff (It did not lock too well anyway).

On positive note the hotel is within safe walking distance from a very large mall with many restaurants, grocery store and other shopping.

Your options are somewhat limited on this area,,, and this hotel gets you by for few nights.

AC on some rooms can't cool sufficiently during very hot times,, but for most is ok.

Room Tip: 2nd floor and up

The water stinks. The carpets stink. The towels have been used 1000 times. The halls are badly illuminated. The elevators are soooooooooooooooooooo slow. And room service is horrible. The building in and of itself is nice and the people at the front desk are very attentive. But go somewhere else.

Good location, the hotel a bit outdated but well maintained, the service is very good, my reservation was fine according to my request, check-in was very smooth, clerks are polite, the room clean, comfortable, the check out and billing procces was very good as well. I recomend this hotel, besides it has a sentimental value to me, since my first business trip to this city, I stayed here.

At least the guest rooms are due for a refresh. Style is definitely out of date and their is substantial wear noted, nearly, everywhere. Service was consistent with others in Mexico and the food was quite nice. After the update, could be world class.

Room Tip: Be prepared for sporadic internet service. At least for me, the speed was OK, just kept getting drop...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2015

It was all very nice, the only problem was breakfast. We made our reservation online (room with breakfast included). At no point, not even when checking-in, were we told that we nevertheless needed to make a reservation for breakfast. We had no idea it got so crowded on Sundays. I suggest letting guests know that they should reserve, because standing there watching people lounge around post-breakfast in typical Mexican sobremesa style was NOT a fun way to spend the morning.
