My wife, and one-year old son stayed here for 3 days. I'll get right to it:
The staff was overall friendly and helpful
There were many different activities set up to do (golf, swimming, beach activities).
The restaurants were fine. One was really a pub/restaurant with typical pub food. The other was a buffet style place that was fine for our trip. Nothing amazing, but good for the stay.
They had babysitting available, and a supervised kids club that was really handy.
Great family atmosphere. Lots of kids and families around. You didn't hear loud yelling at night, or obnoxious drunks walking around or anything, which is always nice when you travel with family.
There was a handy store to get minor snacks, etc, during the day in the main building.
The actual layout of the resort was nice, and it was a good size.
Very stroller-unfriendly. There are lots of annoying steps everywhere: In the lobby, around the restaurants, to the pool, beach, etc. Anyone with kids in a stroller would find this frustrating. What's weird is that this is not an old resort: 20 years old, and a major renovation done in 2008 (according to their website). Even most public buildings in the past 40 years have ramp access everywhere. The ramp access available at this hotel was to go around the resort and through these convoluted, out-of-the-way paths. We ended up carrying our stroller up and down the many steps to just get around. (How can this be called "family orientated"?) I think the architect thought he/she was cool to make this place have a zillion steps everywhere. Note to management: on your next scheduled renovation, please convert some of the many steps to proper ramps.
Cockroaches. I killed 4 during our 3 day stay. 2 were absolutely massive. The size of a grown-man's finger.
No dvd player available: Yes, that's right. In this day and age, even when you go to a 2 star hotel, they often have a dvd player so you can bring or rent or borrow dvds for the evenings. The only video entertainment available was to watch a selection of movies from their cable system at $15 each. When I asked the front desk about this, they said that their system cannot work with a dvd player. So, bring your own portable dvd unit, or laptop if your kids need something to do in the evenings.
No wifi in hotel room: Yes, another odd point. They did have broadband access, at $0.55/min (yes, that's right) in the bedroom only. So, if you want to watch movies online, or check something out on your laptop, you have to do it on your bed, or drag yourself out to the lobby.
Rooms had no real doors: This may not be a problem for some people, but, putting a baby to sleep in one room, you had to tip-toe, or watch TV very quietly in another. Between rooms, they had thin sliding doors with lots of slats in it, which didn't do much to prevent the noise from coming through (but it's better than nothing I guess). Even the bathroom door had lots of slats in it.
Conclusion: We stayed here because a conference was being held at this resort, so we didn't really look around at any alternatives. The feeling we got from the website and other reviews seemed decent enough. And, aside from the cons, that was what we got. I wouldn't call this a 4 star resort, but if the price is right, one can give it a think. -There are a few other places close by I would certainly consider, but coming here was overall OK, aside from the annoyances described in the CONS.

This is very balanced review and I thank you for your astute and specific comments.
Firstly thank you for the many kind comments on our resort, activities and staff.
You will be please to know we are currently addressing the WIFI issue in the rooms. Its a huge project in a resort the size of Twin Waters which is so remote so it is taking longer than we would like but we do have forward momentum!
I'm sorry you found the venue stroller un-friendly. We do have a ramp in the main foyer which is where i presume you had the difficulty's. I do agree we could benefit from some more ramps and we will bring this to the attention of the owners group.
