“Amazing Views from Hot Tub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

We stayed in Serenity 3, a one bedroom lodge with private hot tub and sauna. Very friendly welcome to this collection of holiday lodges in secure private grounds just to the south of Ilkley Moor. Beautiful views across the grounds and wooded valley and distant views to Leeds. Our lodge provided a very private and secluded hot tub, set back behind trees with no concerns of other lodges overlooking ours. Lots of wildlife on site including lots of sweet birds eating berries from the trees. Perfectly hot hot tub, keeps you warm, even when the outside temperature is 2 degrees! Perfect for star gazing! ...and saw a shooting star! Had perfect November weather, freezing cold, blue skies and sunshine. Comfortable interior to the lodge, with dishwasher, surround sound cinema system, jacuzzi bath (for when it's raining), great traditional sauna and log burner to cosy up with. Great places to visit nearby; you can walk straight up on to Ilkley Moor, within a mile for a round circuit of the moor, Ilkley is a nice town, Websters Chip Shop...check out the 'special'..., definitely recommend a trip to the 1853 Gallery in Saltaire, but allow plenty of time as there is so much to see in the gallery and loads to look at in the wonderful shops!!

Highly recommended.

Wow...just can't wait to go back! From the start I had a very good impression of Faweather Grange, Debbie was exceptionally helpful with my initial enquiry.
I really wanted to leave this review as we stayed in Montana 1 and I haven't seen many reviews for that particular lodge.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Debbie, who gave us advice on good places to eat. The lodge was just amazing, warm with relaxing music playing on our arrival. Montana 1 is well equipped, the lounge area is cosy and the sofas were very comfy! It was just of us but it would have been fine for 4 people. The log burner was very easy to use and we had it going most of the time we were there.

The bed was so comfortable, I had the best nights sleep I've had in ages! The hot tub was just superb..unlike others I have been in it maintained its temperature very well despite it being freezing outside!

With respect to other reviews about the track, well it's a bridle way so it's not going to be smooth but so long as you drive slowly it's absolutely fine. Other reviews have mentioned the shower...well yes, it's not a power shower but put it into perspective....you're spending a few days in a little patch of heaven..your shower is 2 minutes per day..really why would anyone complain?!

When I go back I would definitely book Montana 1 again, I thought the hot tub was actually one of the more sheltered. Thank you to Debbie and her team for doing such a fantastic job.

Stayed in Montana 2 with my partner, his mother and her partner and we were not disappointed with any aspect of this very secluded lodge. We had everything we needed and the hot tub was a delight. Woodburning stove kept the lodge lovely and warm in the evening. Plenty to do and see in the area, lovely walk across the moor to likely. Salt mills is worth a visit to see the Hockney exhibition in the1853 gallery. We booked the Bentley for mike's birthday and had a very enjoyable meal at the Farsyde in Ilkley. I certainly look forward to another visit.

Stayed in serenity 2 from 4th - 8th Nov. First impressions of lodge was it was smaller than I imagined and rather chilly even with the heaters on. The location is nice enough but wouldn't say it was totally picturesque ( pylons spoiling views across the fields ) . We travelled via the outskirts of Bradford and Shipley and then seemed to arrive at our lodge a few minutes later so took us a while to feel like we were "away from it all" which again spoiled things slightly knowing all that hustle and bustle wasn't too far away we didn't quite feel like we were in the countryside despite the views telling us so. The lodge itself was clean and cosy but rather chilly without the log burner on so I would be aware that you will use a fair amount of logs/kindling and fire starters @ £4 each soon mounts up especially if you stay in alot . The first lot is free and you are charged for what you use after that. The hot tub was ready for use as soon as we arrived and if you brave the dash across the decking it is lovely and warm once you're in. The sauna is warm enough but not enough to break into a sweat. Have to agree with other reviews about the water pressure - not that good but you get used to it, just be prepared to wait longer than usual to fill the bath and don't expect a power shower ! There is lots of information in the lodge for suggested walks/days out which was very useful and good recommendations for dining out. We went into Ilkley for the day which is the nearest main town which was nice but be aware if you are travelling in the next few weeks there are road works causing a diversion anywhere left of the lodges road entrance which added an extra 20 minutes onto what should have been a short journey. All in all we did enjoy our stay and would possibly return in the summer months to make the most of the hot tub which was lovely but also be aware that none of them seemed completely private, Serenity 2 is in an elevated position with the hot tub on the decking but it does overlook into the back windows of the lodge below. We didn't pay full price for our break as it was a late booking so for the price it was good value but I would have expected a higher standard of fixtures and fittings if paying peak prices so would only return if on offer again.

Room Tip: Serenity 2 is in one of the best positions but is up quite a few steps which are narrow and slippery...

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you found the information in your lodge helpful. I am pleased to say that the road has now been reopened and access is available to the site from both directions (thank goodness!!). We are aware of the water pressure issue which can sometimes be a little slow, however, we do enjoy beautiful fresh, soft, Yorkshire Spring water which our guests love. I am quite surprised that the park wasn't rural enough for you, as we are hidden away in the Yorkshire countryside. 95% of our visitors love the fact that we are so rural and yet close to small towns and villages such as Ilkley and Baildon and just a short train journey away from the city of Leeds. Hopefully your stay was relaxing in the end after a long soak in the hot tub!

Arrived after a very bumpy journey up sconce lane to a very warm welcome from Debbie, who showed us around the lodge and explained where helpful information was stored. We stayed in Serenity 5 which was very private, probably the most private lodge after looking around at others. Lovely comfortable lodge. The only reason I didnt give 5 star rating is due to the heating system. Lodge had storage heating and as a result was very cold. There was a log burner and a complimentary fire lighter to burn but extra logs were quite expensive at £4 a bag. Also tv cut out constantly but this is minor. We made good use of the sauna and hot tub during our stay and only ventured out once to nearby Baildon for some groceries. We also had a night time visit from Lynx the cat who came to say hello. Really enjoyed our weekend and would definately come back if the heating was upgraded.

Room Tip: Serenity 5 most private and car parking directly outside

Thank you for your review of Serenity 5 and we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We are always grateful to get feedback from our guests to help improve the lodges where we can. The TV problem has been rectified and we have taken on board your comments about the storage heaters. We are currently looking into a more flexible heating system for the lodges which I am sure will provide a better option for those guests who do not want to light the log burner. Hope to see you again in the future.

Fabulous accommodation... loved the private sauna and hot tub, wonderful views. Peacful and relaxing but easily connected to some really interesting places and classic Yorkshire countryside. Great service and advice when we needed it.
