I had been to Kasauli Resorts in Nov 2006 and had good memories of the place. Still when I once again planned for Kasauli (15th Mar-17th Mar), I wanted to try something different this time. Based on Trip Advisor reviews I zeroed in on Kasauli Castle but was very honestly told that SPA renovation work is going on and would be a nuisance in day time. So I once again landed up in Kasuali Resorts and this time had even better experience than last time. From the start of booking the room, front desk was very helpful, in particular Rajesh Thakur, was more than eager to answer any of the queries, be it related with general weather, road conditions, alternate route, availability of baby food (went with family; two adults, 1 kid and 1 infant). I booked 1 deluxe room with provision for an extra bed, all the 4 suites were already booked. On the way too I called up Rajesh a couple of times and he was more than helpful. We reached Kasauli Resorts on Friday evening and were given a warm welcome by Rajesh and team. There was no concern shown when I asked them to change the allotted room with one with a better view. For that matter all Deluxe rooms in Kasauli are valley facing. Room was spacious with nice valley view from balcony, bed sheets and pillows were clean, bathroom was clean with all accessories in place . There is nothing plush about the whole setup but all things are well setup and arranged for. They also have a games area with a snooker table, a TT table and video games for kids apart from swings and such plathings in garden. We spent two nights there and checked out on Sunday 19th April afternoon. During this time we had almost all our meals in Kasauli Resort only. Room service was always prompt and courteous. In 2006 also I was impressed with the food quality and this time too there was no let down on this part. Everything from snacks to bed tea to main courses was good to eat. There was not a single fuss moment when we placed special requests for milk for the baby and hot and cold drinking water at odd hours or when asked room service to put the extra bed at the last possible hour. Such service levels might be because of off season but during this time as well there was an Airtel or Idea conference going on and majority of rooms were booked. We witnessed best of the staff when my baby got ill and Rajesh and team took it personally to help us. They not only guided us to the various options available to us but also connected us with a good doctor at Garhkal whom we could consult and administer prescribed medicine to the baby. A kid getting ill on a vacation is nightmarish therefore this help was a big relief and put us back on holiday track. In my opinion Kasauli Resort has one of the best setup among all Kasauli hotels but in the end what stood out was excellent display of hospitality shown by Kasauli Resort staff and in particular by Rajesh Thakur. I definitely recommend Kasauli Resort to everyone.
