Staff were not forthcoming with information - we had to ask everything we needed, there was no info on meal times, town location, lift opening times etc and we had to probe to get this info out of the staff.
The rooms were ok - very basic, not very clean. We had a quad room where you couldn't swing a cat, The twin rooms are the same size as a quad room so it was a squeeze. We had 4 girls in a room and there were 2 plug sockets - one was up at the ceiling and we had to climb on a chair to use it. No cleaning in the bathroom or bedroom at all for the entire week - with 4 people this is not on. No clean towels all week. They only changed the bin and made the beds. Beds are small. We had a shower but it was over a tiny bath and the shower head didnt fix to the wall so we had to hold it all week. There is nowhere to hang clothes to dry in the rooms - luckily we didnt get too wet as it only snowed once. Tiny heater in the corner of the room which was rubbish. No tea-making facilities or fridge - bring your own kettle!
Breakfast was basic - bread, hams, croissants, fruit and eggs. And tea. Dinner was very impressive - each morning you have a menu and select what you would like for the evening. 3-course table-service meals. Beware that you have to buy drinks and they are expensive - we stuck to the tap water they gave us. Do not be more than 20mins late for dinner or else they wont serve you, fixed meal times. And they did give us a packed lunch on departure day. You get kicked-out at 10am.
The adult-only bar is quite nice in the evening, it is quiet. The other bar is full of kids. Town is a good 15-20min walk. Not a very lively resort at all, very quiet in fact. Location to piste is great - perhaps a 20m walk and you're on the piste with a short easy bit of slope to the gondola. Same with ski-in - you can take either the red run or a green run back, although the end of the run has to be red so not good for beginners and icy by the end of the day.
Lockers to store kit is good - bring your own padlock so you don't have to rent one. I wouldn't go back here as we appreciate some basic luxuries and this was very basic. It is more like a youth hostel to be honest with a nice evening meal thrown in. But it is only 2* and for what you pay you can't complain too much. Pistes were great and we enjoyed the time out on the slopes - quite a few cliff-edges with no barriers tho!
