We stayed here for two nights and it was £120 per night for the suite as that was all that was available as it was between Christmas and New Year. The hotel staff are not very welcoming and our room was not very clean. The balcony was left dirty, never swept or mopped and the bottles of drink and ashtray were left out on the table for two days! The floor of the room was dirty and dusty, there were orange stains on the sheets, the billows were like bricks, the basins were never washed and also, there is NO HOT WATER, something the website fails to tell you! At £120 a night I most definitely do expect that. When asked about it, we just got lots of waving of arms and saying "no" ! Most unacceptable. They also cut the towels in half to act as hand towels!
The breakfast is served across the road in the bar which was OK, the usual juice, eggs and toast and coffee and the service is good. The margaritas are also excellent which is the only positive thing I can say about this place. As it is only a short cab journey from Santa Marta, I would rather stay in Casa Isabella boutique hotel and taxi into Taganga every day than stay in this filthy place.
A great place to eat in Taganga is Pachamama (tucked away in side street but on internet), excellent food and cocktails and a cool place to hang out.
