“Lovely place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Lovely small, cosy and quirky café/restaurant. We had dinner here on the first night of our holiday and it was excellent. I would never have tried fish and mushy peas with curry, a very inventive and tasty menu! The artwork and bits and bobs for sale are great too. A very friendly place where they are not too busy to chat to customers! We will definitely go back if in the area again.

“True Scottish hospitality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

This brilliant restaurant/cafe is a regular haunt for myself and a group of my friends as we motorcycle around the west highlands. We are always met with a warm welcome, great food and a reasonable bill but today (Sunday) was even better than normal.

Eight of us arrived to be told that the premises are always closed on a Sunday which we were unaware of. The owner was only in to prepare for the week ahead but seeing that we were disappointed we were offered tea or coffee and cake!

Fantastic is all I can say and I am already looking forward to my next visit (probably on a weekday or a Saturday!)

“Lovely Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Cold woolly day made warm and toasty by this lovely cafe full of local artwork, games and a lovely fireplace! The venison burgers were delightfully filling ...beware you get two thick burgers for your money! The Angus beef pie one of the tastiest ever eaten and the goats cheese on mushroom with Palma ham divine. And after all this hot chocolates which really had to be squeezed in..but worth it with the marshmallows floating on top. Lovely lunch will definitely come back to this place! Fantastic food!

“Brilliant Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

We were recommended the cafe and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was so tasteful, especially the venison burgers. The cafe had an extensive menu and the puddings were exceptional. The cafe was very large and a great time was had with the children playing one of the board games on the sofa with a very nice Hot Chocolate! Will definitely come again.

“What a burger!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We stopped there on our way to Inverewe Gardens, not expecting much from the look of the building. But once the venisson burgers arrived what a delight. I have been around a bit and I think that is one of the best home made burger I ever had. And it is not one but two that you get on the plate for a very attractive price. Congratulations to the cook and the owner!
