“Knowledgeable, fun and I learned something new...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

I chose Tullibardine for Hubby's birthday and it was also close to the hotel in Dunblane we were staying in.
I was a little surprised at the location (next to Baxter's on the road to Perth) but you can't judge a book by its cover.
We did the Bonded Tour and our guide, Nick was fun, informative and really personable from the start. I've visited a few distilleries and this is one of the best. Nick and the rest of the staff have great knowledge and when you walk away learning something new, even better. The staff made the visit fly by, we spent nearly 3 hours on site and it just disappeared...along with the drams served to the husband.
Great value for money especially when we got into the warehouse. There was plenty to keep me entertained and interested despite my role of designated driver. No sales tactics - not that the whisky needed a sales push! A really enjoyable afternoon learning about whisky and Tullibardine, including the use of cream and the source of the word "barmy".
Definitely worth a visit and if you're interested in your whiskies then go for at least the Bonded tour. And most importantly the husband enjoyed his experience immensely.

“Small interesting distillery to visit ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

When in Scotland I guess visiting a whisky distillery is a must. Tullibardine is interesting because it is so small and personal. Their whisky is only available in a very small number of outlets plus of course here. There are 2 tours. 2.00pm and 3.00pm. I believe the earlier one lasts about 1.5hrs and includes going into the bonded warehouse and a gift. Our programme only allowed us to visit at 3.00pm. That lasted just over an hour. We found that excellent. Everything was well described and we enjoyed a tasting of two of the scotch at the end. Having not read about whisky production we were surprised to learn one has to make a beer first before being able to distil the real stuff, whisky. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

“great tour and whisky”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

We came here a few weeks ago and would highly recommend you do, too. Don't let the outside fool you, it's a great place. Gavin, our guide, was very nice and very informative. It was a pleasure to spend time with him. He is very knowledgeable. The whisky tasting was really good, as well. We both really enjoyed our experience.

“The best distillery tour ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Having been on other distillery tours we can honestly say this was the best. Nick explained all the process in great detail and nothing was too much trouble. We learnt lots of things we hadn't on other tours elsewhere. The tasting was very generous and accompanied by specially chosen Ian Burnett chocolates, which made it even better. Nick's explanation of how we should taste the whisky to best advantage made sure we had a first rate experience. If you visit - go for the top tour - you'll be sure to have a great time. Stop and make a purchase too....even the beer is great...
