“Great Weekend Away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We stayed at the resort June 14-15, 2013 and this was our 5th stay. We thoroughly enjoy the property. All of the amenities are great. The rooms are large and comfortable and the beds provide a great night's sleep. We stayed in a one bedroom suite overlooking the water with a balcony and comfy lounges. Everything is well maintained. The property is spotless. The service is just great. Everyone is cheerful and attentive. There is a lot of attention paid to decorating and the small details add to the home-feeling of the resort. The food is plentiful and very good. The small treats in the room are delightful. We enjoy it enough that we have already booked 2 additional stays this year in August and October and in fact we cancelled another Muskoka 5 star reservation to stay again at Rawleys. We find Rawleys very relaxing and that is what our small getaways are all about.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We were at the Rawley Resort May 4/5th, 2013. The resort and staff are outstanding. We had a two story loft with wonderful views. The room was spacious and so beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were exquisite! The bathroom is well appointed with lovely shower. The main floor has a great set up, pull out couch, sink with mini fridge, great space and beautifully decorated.

Breakfast was included. It was buffett style, but what ever we wanted or needed, was made instantly.

The wedding dinner was the best meal we have ever eaten. The coconut curry soup was delicious. The beef tenderloin was by far and large, outstanding. Creme Brule was such a treat. The chef came out in between courses to explain the ingredients and meal. He circled around with the tables to see what people were thinking, he received rave reviews.

The resort setting, meals and rooms were wonderful, but what really impressed us was how wonderful the staff were. For a small staff, these people run a fine tuned machine. They are so helpful and pleasant. They work so hard and are genuinely concerned that you are enjoying your stay.

Wonderful time, thank you Chef and Staff of the Rawley Resort!

What a pleasure it was for the staff to read such an amazing review. Everyone of the staff enjoys greeting new and returning guests and they strive hard to make their stay the best if can be so when a review such as yours arrives it's a WOW to all of us.
This wedding was a beautiful weddiing for all to enjoy. Lovely memories were made this day for all to share for years to come.
We are glad you found your accommodations so comfortable. Some of our guests feel like they are at home when they stay in the lofts, especially when they don't have to cook, make the bed or do anything at all for that matter. Just sit back, relax and let us look after you because that's the joy of a holiday and we want all of our guests to have that pleasure when they stay with us.
Chef Andy likes to get involved in our customer experience and it does show. It's a pleasure for him to prepare the meals and then leave the kitchen and speak with the dining guests.
Thank you ever so much for taking the time to write this review on Trip Advisor and share your compliments on your stay. Please come back soon especially in the warm summer months because the lofts offer such a great view of the surrounding waters and the yachts passing through the lock. We look forward to your return.

The Rawley Lodge just provided us with a wonderful, relaxing get-away. When we made reservations, we mentioned that we were celebrating a very special occasion. Our suite was beautiful, one of the loveliest I have ever stayed in. One bdrm suite overlooking the water, champagne, fruit and a card signed by the staff! The personal attention was very touching and we won't forget it. Chef Allan cooked up a superb dinner. Breakfast was just as delicious. We will be making a yearly trip back to this resort and plan to come back by boat for another wonderful meal this summer. This place is truly a hidden treasure.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for waterfront room....you won't regret it.

My husband and I spent the night at this cute hotel during the off season. We were celebrating our anniversary. The suite was very nicely decorated with a fireplace small kitchen and and a high king size be in a separate room. When we arrived we were greeted politely and told where our room was so we headed up. In the room there was nice music playing a personalized letter welcoming us and a nice bag of chocolate popcorn free of charge. It was very nice.
For dinner we had a lovely meal at a comfortable table near the window. And the meal was cooked perfect although half the menu was not available (and it is a small menu) And because we were celebrating our anniversary the desert was on the house. Another nice touch.

I just wanted to thank Rawley Resort for all their help in making the 50th Anniversary for my parents a very special evening. They went above and beyond.

The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. The property/surroundings are stunning.

Everyone loved having a unique menu and the large room for our party was perfect.

The service provided was impeccable and we really appreciated all the staff's professionalism (always with a smile).
Hopefully we will see you again soon. We will be forever grateful for the experience of your beautiful establishment and the outstanding and courteous staff.

We have stayed here before and we enjoyed it. I called to try to book for part of the Civic holiday long weekend for this year. They advised me it was a minimum 3 night stay which I agreed to but not the Sunday night. The person I spoke to told me they would call me back which they never did. I called back and was told there was no flexibility. If you can't stay the Sunday night, you can't book. Interesting approach.

I am so sorry for this unforunate situation. We do have a minimum three night stay for the August Civic long weekend, however your reservation was discussed with me. They were instructed to accept your Thursday through Saturday. Our resort manager and discussed this situation and she would like to speak with you to find out more details and to fix the problem. Again please accept our most sincerest apologies and hopefully you will come and stay with us.
I am emailing you to contact our Manager.

We had our staff "Christmas in January" party at Rawley Resort. This was our second time there. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with attention to detail. Servers were courteous and friendly. Our dinner was "Yum in my tum" The Chef was amazing and took the time out to introduce himself earlier in the day. Shawn at the piano was great. Sunday morning we woke up to a typical Canadian snowstorm with some rooms losing power. The restaurant had to prepare our breakfast working from a generator. Let's just say the toast wasn't burnt! Too funny! It may have taken a bit longer to prepare our food but again there was attention to detail! Bravo Rawley Resort and Thank You! S. Crowley
