First I want to say that I read the comments on TripAdvisory before we went,,,,I like to do my research before booking and of course was concerned about the negative remarks - so went with a heads up,,,
Okay in your research how many spots can you find that you can rent a fishing boat, have a hot tub, have a kitchenette, have a private patio ,bring your dog , and be able to this time of year rent for a two night stay,,,,NONE!!!! Muskey's Landing was all this and more,,,,,,believe me I researched,,,,,,,My husband and I have been working long hours in the customer service industry and needed to get away for some total relaxation,,,,we chose Muskey's Landing because we wanted to fish and we wanted a hot tub to relax the tired body,,we only had 2 nights off of work,,,,,also, we wanted to bring our puppy and it is very very hard to find anywhere where you can bring your dog ,,,, let alone a resort that has a hottub,,,,right from the initial phone call to make reservations Sandy was amazing,,,she was so pleasant and accomodating to all our needs,,,the package she sold us was perfect,,,we had a kitchenette/fishing boat/ dog welcomed at an awesome price,,,,,,for 2 nights,
Our kitchenette was surprisingly nice,,,,it had leather furniture, large tv, satellite, frig, two burner plate,,,all the kitchen equipment you need, and everything was so clean, I have stayed in places in the past, that I would not use the cooking supplies because of feeling of so so dirty, but not here,,,,I really felt like everything was so so clean,,,,the bed was a really big treat,,,,so so so comfortable,,,,the bathroom was clean and everything worked and everything was perfect there toooo, no complaints,,,,double doors out of our private patio with really nice patio furniture and our own BBQ, it overlooked the grounds and the water and the sunsets every night where gorgeous,,,,,
fishing was great,,,we toured the waters the first day and the photocopied map that Sandy gave us guided us home,,,,she was great at telling us where to go and where not to and where the good fishing was,,,,,
Port Severn is really close and the LCBO is really nice and you can get milk and eggs easily if you need them,,,,
Next time we go we want to book the cottages down closer to the waterfront,,,even though we could have used the big firepit,,,,I sat in the adirondack chairs at one of the cottages and it had a really nice personal firepit and would have been nice to have the teenagers with us to enjoy the firepit and the view and the nice warm breeze,,,,,
The grounds are immaculate and we watched Dave cut the grass for hours and hours (probably 6) - it shows how much they care,,,,,landscaping is gorgeous,,,,,
the hot tub room is awesome,,,,,large tub, sheltered, windows that open,,,,and once again Sandy was awesome,,,,unlocking the doors and taking the cover off for us,,,,,temperature was perfect and it was exactly what we needed,,,,,
just like one of the other comments we would of liked to have done more with friends - we will definitely book again when we have company come from New Brunswick,,,great retreat ,,,,,
the two girls who do the room service where great,,,had no salt in our room so Diane went and got it instantly,,,,
Thank you Sandy and Dave for allowing a couple who work too many hours in the summer to have some downtime together and totally relax and enjoy two days off,,,,,
Your Spot is PERFECT!!!!!
