“Beautiful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

This Hotel is situated in beautiful grounds. The rooms are not in the Chateau, the Chateau has the Bar, Restaurant and Pool ( around the back down some steps. ) There is also other activities, Tennis, Ping Pong, Pool Table, Wi. This was a lovely place to stay. The room nothing special but clean and comfortable, breakfast was good with a good variety. Very peaceful.

Ideal place to run company offsite meetings and trainings. The hotel has everything you need for a business traveler ( although further improvements on the wifi coverage would do no harm). It is quite isolated, which is good if you are looking for a non-distraction environment. Absolutely recommended.

The place is nice, the garden is beautiful... But the staff is so rude!
Week-end left one night earlier, and our friends too.
Do not go there if you are with small children, as the staff seems nervous with kids, and i have been asked to have my children sat down for 2 hours, while week-end were still waiting for a piece of bread, after having asked twice if I could get some bread while waiting for so long at the restaurant for the meals to come....
Very expensive for beeing treated like that!!!

Had a lovely stay for 3 nights whilst on a coach trip to visit chateaux and gardens in the middle of May. Accomodation was OK. When booking we had chosen to eat a la carte in the evening rather than take the half board option that many of our fellow passengers opted for. Whilst it would have been lovely to spend more time with them (they were a great group) we felt that we had better food and more choice by taking the breakfast only option. Our waiter, Amaury, in the restaurant deserves a special mention for his friendly service. Very nice indoor pool. The hotel is set in gorgeous grounds with rolling lawns and beautiful countryside. Nice place to chill out and relax. No English TV channels that we could find so we watched the French ones even though our French is appalling but it is a bit better now! There is a lovely riding school in the grounds. We loved seeing the horses and ponies in their stables and being exercised. The hotel is rather isolated other than a little village adjacent to the grounds but there is an excellent patisserie in the village next door accessed through the chateaux garden.

Stayed for 5 nights while on a business trip, firstly you think from the pictures that you are staying in the old mansion house but thats the restaurant and conference suite, the restaurant was a little underwhelming and the staff a little rude. Having said that the hotel is set in wonderful grounds with ample parking.

We stayed here during a London to Paris cycling adventure.
The setting is beautiful and the grounds are well kept.

However, there are not enough staff working in the bar, nor in the restaurant. Our barman was single handedly serving a large coach group of pensioners and also running between the restaurant and bar to get different drinks and more glasses. It would have been funny had we not been so in need of a cold beer!
The restaurant service was terrible at first, until a single waiter took control and became our waiter for the whole night. Sadly this was after many false starts, where waiters appeared, and then quickly disappeared!
The rooms are ok, pretty small, but functional. Our room was clean and well presented.

There is a wonderful swimming pool, as well as pool table, and outdoor petanque area which were all excellent.

We stayed here due to it's relative proximity to Paris which was only a 28 mile cycle ride away where we completed our adventure.

This was the first time i have been to a hotel like this. Talking regarding the lush green open space and a small jungle kind of atmosphere nearby.
Has tennis court, lots of green open space. You won't feel if its just a 30 minute drive from city and 10-15 minutes away from the nearest one big supermarket.
The breakfast was ok and there were not many choices available.
The rooms were the same as one will find in all the novotel hotels across this part of Europe. It was pleasant to have your window fully open in the morning or evening and enjoy the green space in front of that with fresh air.
The air ventilation didn't start if i wanted to put it to temperature above 20 degree to warm the room. Was little bit chilling. No bath tub in the bathroom.
You have XBOX in the lobby area for the video games. Table tennis and snooker too towards the dinning area in other part of the building.
Anyways a nice experience and would love to come here for some time to spend my holidays.
