“an unforgetable adventure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

I would recommend this cruise to anyone as it was a day of great fun and adventure sailing around the beautiful islands of lefkas! Happy crew and captain, full of life and knowledge on the history of onassis and scorpios. Lots o sunbaking, swimmig, dancing, ouzo and great food! Recommended for couples (old and young) and families. Great value for money, lots of fun and food and drink involved. Dont miss out.. best on nidri!

“Very genuine people, lots of fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

I was skeptical about doing a day tour like this but I couldn't have been more wrong!

Run by a Greek captain and his French wife this tour is a lot of fun and a pretty unforgettable experience. The boat itself is so beautiful it's an honour to take a trip in it. The guiding (in Greek, English and Italian, although I think it varies slightly depending on what passengers are on board) are insightful and interesting, with a nice edge that makes them pretty personal i think. There are loads of opportunities for great swimming (and they let us dive off the prow which is pretty cool, but there are ladders you can climb down too). We visited pone village briefly and had a fascinating trip to the village's olive press, the guiding of which gave quite an insight into life on the islands today). The food they served us on the beach was really delicious, barbequed meat, salad and wine and before that they served us ouzo and olives on board while the captain and first mate did an impressively virile dance and had half the passengers up dancing too. (There's a little bar serving snacks, coffee and drinks too but if you had breakfast you probably won't need it - very reasonable though, they're not out to fleadh you, coffee was 2 euro). Towards the end we sailed a little under the ships own (beautiful) sail and the kids on board all got to help with hoisting it which looked like the kind of thing a kid doesn't forget.

There's plenty of opportunities to take pictures and swim and whether your a family with kids or a couple or travelling solo or with friends I really think this tour has to be the best the island has to offer. It's very personal with tons of character and definitely has sustainability in mind (if they could figure a way to have reusable cups and plates they'd go up another notch in the sustainability stakes).

hard to believe you get this full day's tour, including food and refreshments, for 30 euro - it was fantastic value. I splashed out on Mojito on the way home and YOOP, it was delicious!

“So worth doing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

We are not normally 'organised excursion' type people but we booked this as a birthday treat for our 2 children, aged 11 and 9 and I'm so glad we did. The Captain and his crew are so helpful and friendly and his wife is so knowledgable about the area - we learnt so much during the course of the day. Lunch on the beach was fantastic - heaped helpings of salad, tsatsiki and barbequed pork with a huge slab of bread, wine and soft drinks. The traditional dancing on the boat was great and when the children got to help raise the sail, it was the icing on the cake. We never felt like the day was being rushed through - it was leisurely, relaxing and well worth every penny.
HINT - although the boats sets sail at 0930, get there at least an hour early to secure your choice of seat - you can always leave your bag or towel on the seat and go for a coffee in one of the places along the front and come back in time to set off.

“cant describe how great this is!!!1”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

We went on this in 2008 and again on the first week back this year, only to go back on the second week. I cant tell people how great this trip is and how friendly the captain and his wife and staff are, not only is it a great adventure for the kids but we loved it every time. the deserted beaches that they take you to for swimming and bbq, the free wine on the beach. they have this trip off to a tee but make it look like its the first time that have done it. Best time we have ever had as a family. Thanks!!!!!!

“Best day trip on Lefkada”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

We first went on this trip back in 2005 and again in June 2012 on our return to Lefkada after a long time away. On both occasions the welcome and hospitality and friendliness of Gerry and his team this trip made it a highlight of our holiday.

The trip started with a sail down the eastern coast of Lefkada were we were lucky to see some dolphins, before the first stop of the day at the caves for a quick swim. As this is a cave, it can be quite cold and dark here so maybe isn't the best place for children to swim - better for them to save that until later. Then we went onto Meganissi where we had an interesting guided tour from Mariedo (Gerry's wife) including a trip to the village's olive oil factory.

Next stop was a secluded beach with a BBQ lunch with wine and soft drinks and plenty of time for snorkelling and diving off the boat. Then a gentle cruise around Scorpios (the island retreat of the Onassis family) before mooring on the island for another swim and then raising the sail for the return to the harbour.

What made this trip extra special was the joy and exuberance of Gerry and the rest of his crew, Ouzo and Greek dancing were special extras and Gerry also insisted on diving off the boat to show the children how to do it, assisted in diving lessons for the youngsters and let all the children drive the boat, pull down the sails and lots of other things. They all put in lots of effort to make sure everyone had a memorable day.
