“Best kippers ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

What a great cafe this is! Fantastic spot and very nicely done inside. If you go to Craster you have to try the famous kippers so we had a kipper lunch here. It was delicious and the best we had ever tasted. We loved them so much we went next door to the smokehouse and bought some. If kippers aren't your thing the menu here is extensive and caters for all tastes. Highly recommend.

“Yummy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

We had been walking and going to call for soup at the Jolly fisherman, but this was closed. how luck for us - we went to Shoreline cafe and had the smoked haddock chowder it was delicious, hot and very very tasty . This was only going to be a snack but ended up being the main meal of the day. not cheap but worth the money

“Good crab sandwiches, but pricey for some items”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Had a lovely lunch here, the crab sandwiches were spot on with a fresh mix of red and white crab meat on soft and doughy brown bread. Has a little shop for souvenirs and a loo, as well as lots of seating inside and out. Choice was great, with something for everyone and its a great stop on the coastal path on your way to Dunstanburgh Castle or Howick direction, whichever way you're enjoying this stunning coastline. Pricing was a little unpredictable; pricey for some staple items, but very reasonable for others such as the cakes so overall ok value. Not sure of the brand of tea they served but it was excellent.

“Smelly Cafe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

The place was nice, it was a nice day, cloudy but not rainy, they removed all chairs from outside and we couldn't sit out.. had a coco, cake and some tea, shame I couldn't stay there for long, the smell was too much, it's like sitting in a kitchen with all mixed smells of cooking.. it wasn't pleasant!!! we cracked the windows open but that didn't help, we asked them to sit outside they said it was closed..

It's really a shame we couldn't enjoy our visit there, every thing would've been okay if they did something about the smell

“Slightly pricy but much needed cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

I liked the location and the contemporary decor. It is the only cafe in the village that I am aware of although there are pubs and restaurants. I enjoyed my latte and didn't feel pressured although it was quite busy but I did think £5.00 was a bit steep for a takeaway sandwich.
