“Amazing food, service and facilities - 'an absolute gem'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2010

If you come to Nusa Lembongan (and you must come to this Island if you come to Bali) then you have to stay here, or at least eat here (and then eat here every night).
The food is of the absolute highest standard possible, cooked by a michelin chef, 'Clement', no less.
I have daily withdrawls of their stunning menu including deserts like 'rhum baba' 'choux must go on' , their breakfasts crossiants, all day spring rolls (you get the picture).
This boutique villas/ hotel is run by two laid back, yet very professional young french lads (both surfers - excellent surfing on the island by the way, even in low season) their staff are incrediably attentive and friendly, the best we encountered in our time in Bali. Nothing is a problem there. They accomodated our 2 year old son expertly.

Rooms - spotless, elegent and spacious, with all suites having a good sized outdoor area (well shaded). The pool - good size, very clean (cleaned every day)

Music/ ambiance - awesome, all day and evening funky music is played.

I cant rate this place enough. Indiana is classed as 'luxury' and by every definition it is, except its price, we find it very reasonable and compared to other spots on the Island, it offers fantastic value for money.

We are planning our next trip back later this year.

Indiana opened in August of 2009 and still looks brand new. The accommodation is stylish and generous in size. The grounds are well tended and lush. The restaurant is well placed and well run, offering world class food and wine. There is a central pool with sun beds and more sun lounges facing the beach where you can watch the amazing sunsets while sipping cocktails or just relax with a book.

This was the highlight of our trip to Indonesia. An oasis in a hot land. The property is run by a French family who have got a winning formula. The restaurant is very French in its offering and the food was a delight being prepared by a French chef with a history in Michelin rated restaurants. Don't miss the spring rolls.

We moved here after a terrible experience at the Villa Shambala - they claimed Villa Shambala was a luxury villa but we left after 1 night despite paying for 3 nights. Villa Shambala was remote with no access to restaurants, an icy pool and open walls which mozzies came in through all evening.

Indiana Kenanga is owned by a French Couple and it only opened in 2009. I was fortunate to get a room there as my local friend's wife works in the restaurant.

The rooms were amazing - very clean and spacious with beautiful stone bathrooms. I know they also have 2 bedroom villas with private pools. The main pool is beautiful, really clean and warm.

The restaurant is quite spectacular - they have a Michelin Star chef there and the food is pricey by Bali standards but cheap by Western standards. They also have a spa but we didn't get the chance to try it.

We found it to be a relaxing experience and there was a wide variety of other places to eat within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

I cannot comment about the hotel, as we did not stay there; however, the restaurant at Indiana Kenanga provided the best meal during our two week stay in Bali. Without a doubt this was the best restaurant on the island. The service was very friendly and the location was beautiful, but the quality of the food was the highlight of the dining experience. We had spring rolls, stuffed baby calamari, and a fish stew which were all excellent. The dessert was also delicious. The prices were high in comparison to local standards(entrees around 20$ US) but very reasonable given the quality meal and the location. The surrounding area was underdeveloped; but the ocean views are amazing. All in all I recommend this restaurant very highly.
