“great over reaching pool good food too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

The margertii pizza was hood and the staff was friendly and polite if a bit on the fimilar casual side. The pool overlooks the ocean and you can also look upon the foot traffic as they go buy. The canopy bed was carved hardwood and the room was clean with a metal safe. However the canopy was not completely covering the bed as there was a square gap around the bed that left three centimeters all around between the curtained and white sheet ceiling so I got bit by a misquitoe (S.E. Asia what a surprise) They had WiFi around the bottom tier but none in my room.

For the price and setting, this was the best place to stay in town. It is even better that it is run by a local group of surfers looking to support youth on the island. They were excellent in everything we asked for (motor bike rentals, snorkeling trips, transfers from Bali). We felt looked after so well and enjoyed every minute here. The only down side (for some) would be that there are a lot of stairs depending on where your villa is...if you don't like stairs ask when you reserve your villa about it, some are very near the office and don't have that issue.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Lembongan reef this past summer, and look forward to visiting again. The location allowed for easy access to the best local spots and activities, while providing a nice chill spot in which to relax during our downtime (small, but nice and clean pool with a good view/ Affordable and tasty restaurant/bar...). Our room required that we walk up a few stairs, but this was well worth the view from our clean and comfortable bungalow. Great place for a nice price!... Thanks especially to Wayan at the front desk for all of his hospitality and entertainment... The rest of the staff were also excellent.

Room Tip: Walk the stairs and enjoy the view from the upper bungalows, it's worth it.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on a fairly last minute trip to Nusa Lembongan to do some diving. It was one of the few places that still had some space when we were looking for accommodation so grabbed it.

Our room was right at at top - number 11, which was a looong way up. At least 120 stairs(this was either from the road or reception, can't remember now)! going up and down a few times a day can be tough, so if you don't think you can manage, certainly recommend to try and book a lower down room. The plus of course is that the view was simply amazing! The room was clean and basic and didn't appear to be serviced while we were there, which seemed odd, but being as though we didn't spend much time in the room, wasn't really an issue. The pool area was small but pleasant and staff friendly. We ate at the restaurant for a couple of lunches and dinners and were happy with the food. Breakfast was included and they were happy to oblige with pancakes instead of the eggs included in room price. Free wifi in the restaurant.

The stand out aside from the view from the room, was the deck area, overlooking the water that had big couches and wooden Japanese style seating, watching the sun go down while having a few cocktails was a highlight of our stay and very much recommended.

Not fancy, but comfortable and good value.

This is our 6th stay at the Reef. The rooms are basic but always clean and have a/c and hot water. The view is OUTSTANDING and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is reasonably priced and the food is great also. If you are after 5 star, forget it. But if you are happy with clean comfortable accommodation that comes with a million dollar view you can't go past the Reef.

very nice bungalow hotel, great location, huge room, great view, very friendly staff ...maybe just little basic. No TV, Wifi does not work in the room... only at the restaurant... but, hot water, air condition.

it is very relaxing and quite romantic, one of the nicer in the island.

restaurant is nice with nice beach view in the evening.

Room Tip: first room, close to swimming pool, are best... 1A, etc.

My second stay this year and will be back again soon.
Kodul and his staff make my stay on the island an absolute pleasure every time.
Had room 10 this time, 9 last time and must admit, the steps wear a bit thin after a few days but the view makes it worthwhile.
Love this place.
