A friend and I went to eat there on a spontaneous urge for a nice French meal in our neighbourhood and after looking at the reviews on tripadvisor I thought this may be well worth a try. And we weren't disappointed. The food is prepared fresh on the day with whatever ingredients they can get. There is no standard menu, only what's on the board. You have the choice of ca. 4-5 starters and 5 mains, plus 2-3 desserts.
We had an aperitif outside, but went inside for the meal, as the restaurant is right by a road and it became a bit windy.
We started with the fois gras with pistachios and then I had the cochon de lait and my friend had the filet de bar grille. Both very nice dishes. The portions were just right, you feel pleasantly replete but not stuffed at the end of the meal. I'm not a real sweets person, so we skipped the desserts. A nice bottle of Burgundy accompanied the meal. The wine selection is moderate, but matching the food. The bill came to €70/each, which I thought was adequate. The wine alone contributed a bit to that.
Very friendly and attentive service, lovely cosy atmosphere. Good location for a romantic dinner.
I'll definitely will go back there again, this time with my wife.
