Charming hotel (a farm 50 years ago) in the middle of nowhere. Friendly personel and tasty local food. Acoustic insulation rather poor so bring earplugs. Early morning moisture drops on iron roof with great noise. Splendid view to "pic de Bure" and plenty of sports in the neighborhood. Forget tennis court, hasn't seen a match for years. If you stay for 3 days or more, 1/2 pension prices very attractive. Ask for a room not too close to pool (plenty of kids on WE's)

The only good thing to say about this hotel is the nice vue, thats all! The rooms are not very nice, old, the bed is not confortable and the bathroom smells humid. Breakfast is very basic, and not includet in the room price, the place looks old and not very clean, and the staff is not very friendly! To bad, the place has a lot of potencial!
The sauna seems dirty, the gameroom is very dark and looks more like a storage. We did not try the restaurant, so I don't know, how it is in the evening.
Better stay in Corps and only drive up to have a nice look from up there!
We would not go back!

I ended up at the Boustigue quite by chance. I was driving back to Grenoble from the mountains, and it was time to stop for the night. All the hotel in Corps were closed or full, and the receptionist at one hotel called around to see who had room. What luck, because the hotels in Corps are mostly on the main road, while the Boustigue is totally isolated above the town. It's quite a winding road through a forest to get there, but once there you are rewarded with fabulous views and total silence. My room was small, but more than adequate for a stop-over. It was clean, had a balcony with a view, the bed was firm, and the bathroom was functional if a bit rudimentary. It was a hot summer's day but at this altitude the night was cool. I hadn't slept that soundly in ages. The decor is toned-down mountain chalet. This isn't luxury, but perfectly comfortable. The dinner was above average for France, with a buffet of vegetable starters, and then a good choice of meat dishes. Breakfast was also a good spread of fruits, breads, jams and yogurts. There are numerous walks you can take right from the hotel. The total price for the room, dinner, and breakfast came to 75 euros which I thought was fair.

Our reason for visiting this part of France was to see the awesome shrine of Our Lady of La Salette and Our Lady of Laus (50 km south)

We made our own way here via Lyon with a hire car and stayed for 5 nights with half board. The hotel is located on the road out of the village of Corps heading up the mountain to the Shrine. After a few kilometres a large sign directs you off this main road and up a steep single track road for nearly 3 kilometres. But your effort is rewarded with a spectacular location and panorama view of the valley below.

Look out for the photos and history of how the family started the business up here, you will be amazed at the bravery and determination to establish this hotel in the early 1960’s The owner Bernard Dumas is a great chef and works hard with his kitchen assistants to produce excellent meals accompanied with a wonderful buffet for starters and desserts. He is ably assisted by his son Fabian who speaks good English and he in turn is accompanied in the evenings during dinner with his girlfriend Morgan to give an attentive and very friendly service which gave a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant was full each night.

Our room was clean and very adequate with clean linen and towels each day, the view was breathtaking and speaks for it self. We enjoyed the peace and quite with no traffic or even aircraft noise. A truly wonderful location to gaze upon the beauty of God’s gift and grace given to us all.
