4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2010

We stayed at Sauble lodge on the first week of September we really liked it. I been coming to Sauble from last 10-12 years in these years i stayed in so many Different places Sauble lodge is the closest to the beach it is very clean comparing to Sauble beach they have a wonderful pool with a slide my kids loved it. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were renovated we stayed in room # 10 with lake view i would go there again it was great experience.

We stayed at the Sauble Lodge in July; and it was an overall good experience. The motel is literally located at a 2 minute walk away from the beach, and the management also provides good service [helping us to log onto the internet, providing extra towels]. The outdoor swimming pool was also very fun for our family, as it was very clean and also had a slide and a diving board. I saw one spider in the staircase in front of the room but none actually in the room. However, I think that it is a given that there would be spiders around the resort, because it’s a resort around nature instead of the city. I had vacationed in Sauble Beach the previous two years as well, but we hadn’t stayed at this particular motel, and there were also spiders everywhere outdoors because we were so close to the trees. The building was also a bit old, but you couldn't tell that by looking at the newly renovated rooms. We had a nice stay; I would definitely recommend the Sauble Lodge Motor Inn to anyone who is traveling to Sauble Beach.

As soon as we drove up to the motel I knew it wouldn't be a great stay. Upon entering the motel to go to our rooms, a mustly/mildew smell overwelled us. The rooms were old and our friend's room had a slope in the floor. Mine and my husbands room was infested with spiders, at one point he opened the bathroom door and 4 ran across the floor. We decided to find another place to stay and as we were packing up at least one spider ran across the bed where we would have slept. YUCK!

This place is truly not worth the money they are charging, and we are currently working on getting a refund.

Motel was very busy on the weekend we booked a room. On the road, we got a strange phone call asking if we were "for sure" coming or they would give the room to someone else. Odd, as they already had our credit card info and expected arrival time. Motel was a big disappointment. I don't mind shabby chic, but the property was run down, cigarette butts and garbage everywhere, and the main building looked like it had seen much better days. The hallway smelled funky and there were dead flies in the stairwell. The room was mediocre. There was no hot water in the shower and the toilet did not flush 3 times out of 4. There were no blankets on the bed, just bedspreads. We slept on top of them, with our own blankets. Mix of rowdy drunks and families was also weird. I would never stay there again. There are much nicer "mom and pop" run businesses in Sauble Beach. I expect more for $185 per night.

We had recently stayed at this property and had a great time. I was with my husband and son 2 years of age. The management was very accomendating and friendly. Location was great. Beach 1 min walk. Close to main strip. Compared to all other locations in the same facinity price was compareable. Room was clean. Nice trip overall.

A motel/hotel facility that is clearly old but has undergone a significant amount of renovation and improvement under new owners over the last 2/3 years. Rooms very clean, fabulous location 1 minute walk from the fabulous Sauble Beach (7 mins walk from Main Street); our kids actually enjoyed the excellent Hotel pool (with diving board and slide) as much as the beach.

Owners could not do enough to help - for example went WAY out of their way to make sure my wireless internet worked when I needed it to for an urgent issue while we were staying there.

Highly recommended.

It is quite spacious. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear people on the 3rd floor walking around. Some nights there was loud partying even after 11PM. Nice pool with slide and diving board, close to the beach. A bit far from downtown.
