Even if the food was sub-par this would be a destination restaurant because of the breathtaking view of the north face of the Eiger from the terrace. But fortunately, the food is also very good. I had goulash soup which was not remarkable, but my wife had sausage with onion sauce and rosti, a very common menu item in Switzerland. The sausage was excellent and the rosti (basically glorified hash browns) was the best we tasted in the country. The prices were reasonable, in light of the view, and the service was fine. What more could one want for lunch?
