Absolutely gorgeous hotel in the beautiful little village of Berrynarbor, which we enjoyed exploring. Within easy reach of Ilfracombe and Woolacombe as well as near to several tourist attractions. The hotel also provided us with free entry tickets to several of the main attractions, which was a bonus.
Loved the old fashioned yet glamorous decor in all the rooms, really stylish and original. Absolutely gorgeous landscaped grounds and surrounding gardens. Great for the summer.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff.
They have a private car park which is handy and generally the facilities are very good. There was a daily maid service and the tea and biscuit tray was filled up every day with a tasty selection.
The staff were welcoming from the start, friendly and helpful.
The only thing that I could possibly criticise is that there is terrible mobile phone signal up there, especially if you are with o2. And it was a shame that we were not informed of the free wifi service until our last day.
Overall though, a perfect quiet getaway which left us feeling well rested and not wanting to go home. Many thanks, would definitely recommend.
