This place was better than expected - the restored farmhouse oozes charm, while the grounds constantly lure you to explore. We were two families, with small children who appreciated the pool and the easy accessibility of farm animals to visit. While the room decor could use some updating, we didn't spend much time in our rooms; the location is perfect for exploring the region in any direction, and otherwise we found ourselves at an outdoor table eating one amazing dish after another (either a tremendous breakfast spread, a casual bottle of wine and some salami near the pool, or a gazillion course meal in the dining pavilion). Heartily recommended.

no idea what to say about our 3 nights stay here. Even though we were not in the extremely busy season (i hope that they still have them) the service was quite poor. Staff was friendly but were never there, or on the phone. We had a huge room on the top floor which was good, can't say anything about that.

At the main entrance there was a family of ants moving, marching in and out the building. I told the staff and an insect spray came out. Next day the ant family was back and they stayed. So not very adequately solved..

If owners are not careful i feel that this place had it's best time...

I appreciate mostly the many km vast naturalistic Oasi spreading between hills. Very good for trekking by foot or horses. After this will be even better to enjoy the good food and wines.
Great restructuration and elegant atmosphere

We were searching for a place to stay and came across Le Querce del Vareglio and what a wondeful find!! Wonderful hosts, lovely rooms and excellent food. The staff showed us the rooms before we accepted and we ended up having a lovely quiet suite with wondeful views. the only noise that woke us was the farm and the animals... wondeful. We only booked 2 nights but wish we had stayed longer. We will certainly return!

Room Tip: all are individual and none are very small. I would recommend paying a little extra for a suite as t...

This place hosted a wedding for 5 days! Great location, best service, flexbile team ever, fresh and delicious food, soft towels, nice pool! We all had a very very good time and we will be back!
The location is on the hill, nobody will be disturb by party music and we had a lot of party. Nice garden where we celebrated the wedding, dinner on long tables outside with delicious food. Every single short notice request had been organized and arranged for us. The owner was helpful and available every second for us. No question has been unanswered and even breakfast at 2pm was no problem. Of course we as a group booked the entire location and felt home after the first hours. If you look for a party location in Piemont this is your choice. The towns Canlae, Alba and Asti are not far away and lot of nice wineries are around.

My wife and I went the last year in Le Querce del Vareglio and we have spend there a nice week so we return this year for a few days and we find a unexpected worsening. The Hotel is always nice but the atmosphere was very heavy. The new manager is not friendly with the guests, specially with foreigeners and she is very unfriendly with the staff. The food in the Restaurant is good but no one speak a word of English, if you don't speak a bit Italian don't go there.

I was looking for a accomodation in the area and I found the web site for Le Querce. There were no reviews of this place anywhere and from the web page I could not find a lot of information about it so we weren't expecting too much beforehand - we just needed a decent place to stay.

Reservation was done simply by e-mail and we didn't even need to provide credit card information which made me also little suspicious.

So when we arrived it was a very pleasant surprise. The main building had been totally restored just a year ago and the room was very modern. Also the whole building and the yard looked great including the swimming pool.

Le Querce is located in a very beautiful location on a hill with its own vineyards, pear trees etc. surrounding it.

We also enjoyed a fantastic dinner at their own restaurant. There was only 1 set menu available at the moment but everything tasted so good and the price was cheap.

We felt like we should've stayed here longer than we did.
