We stayed here at the end of our holiday on the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. The experience was one of the most relaxing with the hotel being everything we expected in terms of rooms, amenities and food.
They have some English speaking staff, which was extremely helpful. The weekend buffet-dinner and the breakfast buffet offered fantastic, fresh and delicious Japanese food with enough variety of choice to satisfy a picky British palate. The Onsen (hot spring) bath on the twelfth floor with both inside and outside pool and a sauna is excellent and has lovely views, and we were provided with a choice of Yukatas (bath robes), which, in true Japanese fashion, we were allowed to wear around the hotel at all times, even to dinner.
The pool is only open during the summer months and is smaller than it looked in the advertised picture, but the hotel has its own small beach with a diving platform, which made us think about coming back in August.
What really impressed us, though, was the excellent service. I had developed conjunctivitis which needed immediate medical attention. The young English speaking member of staff present that Sunday (!) morning helped us to find and contact the hospital, then was despatched to drive us there in a hotel car and stayed with us at the request of the hospital staff until I had my medication. He then drove us back to the hotel. All this was done in a pleasant, unassuming way, but it was clearly beyond the call of duty and typical of the Japanese understanding of service.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the summer
