Located at the western side of the entrance to Tokyo Bay, Hayama coastal town is a wonderfully pleasant place to spend a couple of days, even a day-trip from Tokyo. It provides a pleasant change to modern mega cities. This is a quiet beach resort where the Emperor has his summer retreat resort. Miles of water front with beaches and sea activities dotted the coast. There are many decent hotels and motels which are budget-type no frill for individual need. If one gets lucky, Mt Fuji is beautifully visible across the bay to the west. Many quiet and exquisite restuarants are also available.
Nearby this town is the famous Kamakura Attraction, which is worth a day's visit.
To get there from Tokyo, the most convenient and economic way is to take the Rail system...either from Shnjuku or Tokyo station, a direct train to Zushi Station (one station after Kamakura Station) A short bus ride or even a taxi bring you to Hayama Town.
Worth a day trip or a 2D1Night visit.
