Hakuba 47 is combined with Goryu, so a lift pass gives you access to both mountains (it's possible to catch a lift up one side and ride down the other) and there is some good variation of terrain.
In fresh powder, the tree riding zone was as good as anywhere else I've snowboarded. You must register for free at the ski school at the base, and wear a bib/singlet in order to go into the area, however it's well worth the slight extra trouble. Line C has the best runs on the mountain.
There's a big terrain park (biggest in the Hakuba valley), with a superpipe.
As with most of the Hakuba resorts it seems, they will close the lifts up top quickly if there is strong wind, which can be frustrating.
Overall a good hill, and despite good snow, it was practically empty while we were there.
