“Excellent Holiday, Great Accommodation and Superb Location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Me and the Girlfriend decided to stay at the boathouse for a week. By the end of the week we wished we had rented for longer. The Accommodation is set in the middle of a beautiful forest area. We took our two dogs with us on the trip, which was perfect as there are great walks on your doorstep. If you take dogs they have to stay in an outhouse next to the house. which was fine for us. The accommodation was very well presented throughout. Clean, cosy with all mod cons. The house was nicer than it looked in the pictures. It was a great base for us to go out and explore Wales, there are lots of attractions nearby. Have already reccommended to friends, who are currently planning there trip.We will definatley be returning next year.

“Perfectly remote!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The Boathouse is perfectly remote, just what my husband and 2 yr old needed. We may have had some of the wettest weather for months, but the Boathouse was the perfect base to explore Snowdonia. The house was clean and warm on arrival, with everything we could possibly need for the week. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the spacious double height lounge area, as it served as a great stage for her ballet performances. The photos don't do the space in the house justice, I was expecting it to be quite small, but it was perfect.

“Location, location, location!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The Boathouse is everything the photos promise and more! It's a beautifully equipped house - with care and attention paid to details. But what adds to this holiday cottage and sets it well above others we've stayed in is the location - being set in your own woodland with the sound of the steam railway in the distance is truly magical!

“Fabulous setting and fantastic house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We stayed for 2 weeks and explored the area on foot from the boathouse and by car over the region. The walks from the door are great and varied-to the train station where there is a cafe and a play park for our 3 year old, as well as the steam trains, round the lake, down to Tan y Bywch house, through the woods. So much to see and do in the wider area for all age groups. The house was a great base with everything we needed - a home from home.
One little warning would be the steep drop a few metres in front of the house which is risky for tiny children.

“Peaceful, Secluded, Perfect Cottage Setting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

The Boathouse is in a very tranquil area and was a perfect location for exploring other areas of Snowdonia. Directions provided were excellent. The Boathouse itself is much larger on the inside than it appears! It was clean and fitted out to a very high standard. The steam railway at the bottom of the 'garden' was so exciting for little people! It was one of the highlights! It was an excellent find!

“Fantastic place to stay!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

The Boathouse is located within a stunning woodland setting. The accommodation was excellent. We spent a week here and there were so many things to see and do that we couldn't fit it all in. I agree with the previous reviews that the pictures do not do this place justice. We particularly liked the narrow gauge steam railway at the bottom of the garden and the lovely lakeland walks that are right next to the boathouse. Will definately return!!!!!!

“Peaceful and unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

Our second visit. It's so well positioned in Snowdonia, and yet so delightfully isolated. A beautifully presented building, with a much better appointed kitchen than many self-catering places we've stayed. Booking arrangements are all fine, and it's very reasonably priced for what you get. Will definitely return.
