A superb place! I would come back anytime - great location, very nice rooms ,Excellent staff - very friendly and always glad to make your holiday a dream come true
. the view from our room was just amazing. The hotel is right on the slopes so you definitely can ski in ski out.
The food was good, plenty to choose from to fill you up for a long day out skiing

Expectations were not high, but we managed to book a good value stay straight of their website, and we were in for a pleasant surprise. Rooms at level 3, just about perfect, although on a "cheaper" side of the hotel (not the Privilege rooms) and therefore above Whistler Pub noise was not a major issue. We got 2 interconnected rooms for a family of 3, which raised cost by about 15% and seemed like a steal. Rooms themselves rather small, all have 3 single beds, basic but clean, bathroom could use some extra heating power and bath/shower set-up not really good, but nothing major. Hotel is a club, so quite impressive animation programme mainly for the kids, and that since 18 months of age if I remeber well, which is not that common if you go skiing anywhere in Europe. Pretty nice lobby, some useful open spaces. Food is definitely a strong point - well above the standard of the place. While it is not a 5 star restaurant, and for good reasons, it is just perfect before/after day on ski.
The principle downside is internet access - there's a free wifi only in the lobby; with rather frustrating re-log-in procedure every 30 minutes or so, and quite slow at that. I refuse to accept lack of wifi in rooms, even against extra payment if necessary, in anno domini 2012.
Location is fantastic - true ski-in and out, with small slope on your way to the skiing area and "tapis roulant" to get you back to hotel - this set up doubles as a perfect place for kids' first steps on the ski, proves it may well be the best location in the village, much better then Club Med for once...
All in all, when you compare regular prices, quite common special offers, value for money, and prices in other establishments in vicinity (be it Club Med, Arcs 1950, or rental locations in residences), take into account really good food and living quarters decent enough for a week on ski, it is a difficult package to beat.

Room Tip: Levels 2-3 should have the least noise issues

At age 80 I've stayed in many ski-ing hotels. I was a bit apprehensive about this last minute deal ski-ing with my son and grandchildren. It turned out to be a winner. We had adjoining rooms which were comfortable and clean (and I managed the bath!) The ski room was one of the better ones and a convenient piste on the doorstep. The food was good - all buffet style with a wide choice and replenished quickly. I would go back here - and I'm pretty fussy1

Arrived very late and check in was quick and easy.... this is an upside down hotel... as in reception on the top floor and rooms are down... so the best rooms are mid floor.... I stayed on floor 7 street side and 'whisters dream' closes as 12.30..yes, there are noises of people moving around after a night out...BUT for me not over the top ... probably best piste side ... yes. small baths but still not a problem its not 5 star!!! this hotel does exactly what it says on the 'tin' ski in/out ... food average and really nothing to complain about... this is a fractionally more than average ski hotel... and may I say extremely friendly.. reception, bar and restaurant staff are more than happy to help in any way ... arc 2000 is a very difficult place to get around as in the fact of everything is accessed by lifts which are not clearly sign posted to where you want to be.
No hairdryers or luxuries... TV just French channels BUT hey we are holidaying in France... room cleaned every day to a high level.. once again could not find fault if I tried. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: piste side may be quieter but really still not a problem street side

I complained about the small bath and detached shower was told its health and safety. Much safer to sit in bath with shower in hand. They had taken them off the wall. No hand rails, wallpaper on walls. You cannot sit down, get in, or out, my family had to pull me out.
Room was above Nightclub (Whistlers Dream), got no sleep. Always loud cacophony banging out til 3am and drunks/smokers outside till 4am shouting. Also next to lift, horrendous. 1st day too tired to ski. its not neccessary to have speakers outside every commercial building, cafe, and ski lift.
Cleaners did not clean daughter's room, always dog ends on balcony. Lights and radiators not working, never mended. Only received shampoo etc. for two days.
Arrived independently at 10pm, eventually found reception 30 minutes and frozen to death 30 minutes later. We had not been told it was a Belhambra Hotel and signage everywhere was useless. Not allowed to drink alcohol, I had obviously paid for the free wine, but still had to buy my own orange juice.Cannot sit on bed, lamp in way. Excellent food, restaurant, location and views.

Room Tip: Not facing Mont Blanc, not floor 1

If you want a functional hotel, in a location that is great for skiing then this it is worth staying here. You can be on the slopes in minutes and have access to a variety of lifts. Food is aimed at those who spend their days on the slopes with a good selection of starters, mains and deserts. Downsides are the small bathroom, lack of a holder for the shower, and half size bath, so avoid if these are important to you. The price we paid for this hotel provided value for money and a great spot to ski from.

I stayed there with my partner, son and his girlfiend in two adjoining rooms. The hotel has 9 floors and instead of going up over the main reception area they go downwards. Our room was located on floor one which is under the main reception, bar, entertainment area and it was horrendous, every single person that walked into and out of their rooms to the complex crossed our rooms, we heard every single step and could only sleep from 1am (as they moved tables/ chairs across the wooden floor at the end of the evening at midnight) until 7am when people started going for breakfast. We complained straight away ( and once we mentioned noise they knew where we were located BEFORE we told them as it is a common complaint!!). They were full and couldnt move us until day 5 when we were shattered and angry they provided the 4 of us with one room for 2 people on the fouth floor which was quiet. The rooms are cheap, cheerfull with a bath that is less than 3 feet in length and a hand held shower, the lockers do not accommodate snowboards unless you remove th bindings. The food was the only saving grace, quite decent and varied and the location of the hotel was great. If you get a room on floor one it is a nightmare, it ruined our holiday, the worst thing is they know it is an issue and still continue to put people in those rooms (103 and 105) I have had over 20 snowboarding holidays and never once complained, absolute disgrace for over £700 per week each. We decided to drown our sorrows and join in the entertainment Crystal advertised to find out it is all in French, quizes are a challenge but in a foreign language is impossible so we couldn't even join in the evening activities. Please do not stay here, find somewhere decent

Room Tip: do not stop on floor 1
