We were told about Sabores by a family member who highly recommended the food. So after traveling back to Spain and feeling a little tired and peckish we thought we would try the lunch menu, or in particular a snack, just to suss the place out. WOW is all we can say!! After a fabulous welcome and chat we decided to forget the snack and try a meal. We shared a starter of duck spring rolls, which were packed with duck and flavour. The main course, my partner had the ribeyed steak which was cooked to her exact requirements and taste, and for myself I had the herb crusted rack of lamb, which again was cooked to perfection. The food was seasoned well and the flavours were truly fantastic and well balanced. To cap the experience off we were given a strawberry pavlova on the house which was of the same standard as the rest of the meal. To round of the experience the house red was delicious, and I suspect the other wines on the list will also compliment any choice from the menu, as the management and staff seem to have a real understanding and great knowledge of wine and food, as proven by the standard of service and food.
In summary, we expected the standard run of the mill cafe / bar set up, as with the rest of Sabinillas, not bad but not outstanding. How wrong we were, and we will be spending alot more time in Sabores trying the rest of the culinary delights they have to offer along with the wines. As we said "we never expected that" but how glad we are we tried Sabores.
