“Family reunion”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Our family booked this lodge for a reunion of our large family from all parts of the world. The lodge suited our purpose very well as all members of the family could be together but not on top of each other. The big attraction was that we were promised exclusive use and on one day could use the kitchen to prepare a special celebratory meal.

Sidney, the manager and his team were extremely helpful and kind though the service was lax, a bit hit and miss with the orders and delivery. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. The rooms adequate though the beds comfortable and I enjoyed the outside shower. The shower indoors sprayed all over the floor instead of the shower tray so did not use it.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We had a family stay with young children for two nights. We were welcomed by Smart, the resident caretaker, who was friendly and happy to help. The chalet itself was nice (perhaps a little cluttered, but this is personal taste) but the outside area was really lovely. There is a splash pool for hot weather, fencing around the garden, and a large covered area. Sadly we didn't see any animals around (as the photos showed) but maybe we were just unlucky. It was a reasonable price for the standard. There was no restaurant or other facilities for children, so take a ball and some games, and they will be very happy. It was very peaceful and quiet, and was to find. Kruger was an easy 5-10 minutes, and shopping for food is easiest at Koompatiport if coming from Mozambique.
