I stayed here while travelling Europe for 2 days and found it to be a small cozy place for backpackers. The rooms have bunk beds so don't expect anything more. The front desk has offers for discounts on many of the activities in the area and gave us a free travelers card that allowed us to take the bus for free to St. Beatus-Höhlen free of charge (other bus routes were also available). There is a fee of $3 for a towel as none are in the bathrooms in the rooms. There was also a fee for their "upgraded" breakfast which ended up being a total waste of money. It was very little food and not worth the extra $5 they were charging for it. The walls are paper thin and none of the neighboring rooms were quiet. There were also no rules for quiet time...I had to listen to a travelling violin player who only knew one 30 second part of a song which he played repeatedly for 4 hours. Be aware of these things if you do chose to stay here.

One of the *worst* hotel (if it can even be called that) experiences. Don't go by the professional photographs they have posted on the websites. The rooms are small, dark and dingy. And the bathroom was absolutely filthy!
The room for 4 was so cramped that we could not even fit in our luggage (4 small roll-ons). Don't waste your money here and go somewhere (anywhere!!) else.

Actually, this hotel is located in Unterseen, not in Interlaken. But it takes about 10 minutes on foot to get to the center of Interlaken.
The rooms are quite clean and cozy.
Unexpected thing happened after we came back to the hotel next afternoon. We found all our stuff next door to our room. We asked hotel manager what's going on and he tried to sure us that we booked for one night only, though we booked for 3 nights. After showing him voucher he immediately gave us another room, which was much bigger - for 4 persons instead of 2. All in all the hotel was nice, good price / quality ratio.

We stayed here for a couple of nights during the end of May long weekend.
The room was pretty decent (nothing much to write of) , the wash basin tap was faulty and water kept on dripping, the bath was very small, only issue was that the room was very cold as the room heaters seemed to be set to the minimum - it was raining on top of that.
When I asked if the centrally controlled heater could be adjusted (please note - this was asked in a very friendly tone) the manager (don't know what mood he was in) immediately replied that he had four other guests who wanted him to lower the temperature and 4 counts more than 1(we) - and we being Indians always feel cold :) - I told him that even though we were Indians we were living in UK - I really felt the comment to be racist and did not want to continue the discussion further. To our surprise when we arrived after dinner, the tap was fixed (I never even complained) and the manager himself came up with an electric heater - guess the angel in him came out.

Loved it! The location is perfect, a few blocks from Interlaken city centre. The rooms ranging from very large to very small, but i´s OK. What deserves congratulations is the service. Both the receptionist and the owner of the pub's owner were very nice to us. Recommend, everything worked.

Everything about the hotel was good......I Had read in the earlier reviews that you cannot check in before 16:00 but we reached there at 15:10 and we were given the keys to our room so nothing to complain about..... A very friendly and helpful staff...... The only thing that was upsetting was that they didn't have a double bed, two single bed were joint with a big gap in between....

We booked it through booking.com. The booking was for 2 rooms with attached bath and toilet. When we reached the hotel at 3 PM, we had to wait 1 hour to check in.To my utter shock, the 2nd room has no bath and the room is nothing more than the size of a toilet in a small US hotel. There was niether air conditioning or a fan in the room when the temperature is around 35 C during the day. The check in guys are the real consolation. They are both extremely nice and helpful and even volunteered to get our clothes laundered ( for a small fee, though). The stay would have been a disaster but for the wonderful yourng man and woman who managed the front desk. The common toilet in the 3rd floor did not have a light and even after telling the guy at the desk, he did nothing until our checkout.A very tiny staircase on which you had to lug your bags 4 flights up. I would never have booked it if I knew half of the problems with it.

Room Tip: Never ever go to this hotel unless this is the last place in the world.
