We are from winnipeg and can not believe more people are not taking in this great park in our province. We drove up with some relatives from bc to golf, and it is by far one of the nicest courses. We then went to the hotel (lakeview owned now). And it was breathtaking. The views from the restaurant outdoor patio so amazing. We had. Fantastic meal with lots of choices.
Then after walked in to see the waterparks , I wish we had our grandchildren with us!
Then went driving around the island, the campground is large, with big sites, and plenty of walking paths, playgrounds and modern showers and bathrooms.
We had a bike ride from one end of the island to the village about 20 k of paved paths. Where do you find that anywhere else in manitoba?
The old village has been refurbished with new cottages, great job to those who did this.
The beaches are clean and well maintained, and the harbour had lots of slips for boats and plenty of room on the dock for people to fish from
There is another restaurant away from the hotel which offers up some fine home cooked meals.
Why are people not going here, stay home camp here visit the hotel. Golf, swim, walk , picnic, ride.
