We arrived at 1.20 p.m for lunch, a little late in French terms, as the restauranteurs love to be done and dusted by 2 p.m. if they can. We sat down at a table covered for four, but with only three chairs. There were at least three other tables for four and a table for two , all free. As the table for two was in partial sun, we didn´t take it. The owner appeared, gave us a quick once-over and moved on. His son came over a few moments later and asked us to move to the table for two. I explained that as it was the end of the lunch session, I didn´t understand what the problem was. He then protested to his father, who said it was OK. The son went off in a huff and didn´t come back till five minutes later. We still hadn´t had the menus. Maybe we should have walked away, but frankly I was too hungry!! OK, what about the food? Well, the pizzas are authentic crispy Italian, baked in a charcoal oven - delicious! Let´s hope the son was only having an "off" day!
