Fantastic modern hotel by a lovely lake. Great views from our modern spacious room. Lake teeming with wildlife. Bathroom excellent.
There is a but though.
The catering was poor. Buffet food was the worst we had on tour. Quality and choice were poor.
No bar as such. Service from the restaurant. Like the restaurant it was poor too. Ironic in that the hotel is a base for an hotel management school.
We thought the hotel also let itself down in one other area - currency exchange. Given the hotel has a mainly international clientele and is relatively isolated the inability to change money, as advertised, on Saturday 'because the banks are closed until Monday' is not good. Fortunately we were moving on.
As mentioned by others the hotel is a good base for the Yale National Park. Well worth a visit but don't expect the service, organisation or sheer stunning excitement of Africa. Not a patch on Kruger.
