Restaurant Gallego is a small family owned restaurant opposite the bull ring in Ondara between Oliva and Denia. It is not noticable from the street but the food is absolutely delicious and in the 13 years we have lived in Spain we have never had anything but excellent meals and service. The menu del dia costs 10 euros for a starter e.g. entremeses, or the excellent callos (tripe) etc etc, main course of lamb, sepia or other dishes to suit, followed by a desert of creme caramel, fruit, ice etc and accompanied by bread, salads and a bottle of wine (the white house wine is to be recommended) then followed by coffee. The owner and his son in law are front of house and the wife and daughter do all the cooking which is excellent. We highly recommend you try this restaurant should you be in the area.
