“Great setting, relaxing atmosphere, exceptional hospitality.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2010

The only thing I disliked about this place it that it wasn't for sale. It is in what must be one of Ireland's most picturesque inlets and the views over the fishing harbour are captivating. The furnishings are tasteful and of nice quality, and the house has a very relaxing atmosphere; the rooms are bright and clean; I thought the breakfasts were very good; and most of all, Adella was friendly and helpful way beyond the call of duty. To cap it all, it was very reasonably priced, with WiFi access included. Union Hall has a nice feel to it too, and it is only a few hundred meters walk to the restaurants and pubs. I stayed for one night, went somewhere further along the coast for a night, and then decided to go back to Shearwater House for another six nights until it was time to go back home.

a real gem of a B&B - stunning view (even in the rain), great breakfast and clean spacious room. Good value too especially as Adele went so out of her way to make everyone's trip as good as possible.

“Lovely stay in a stunning environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2010

It was my first time in the South of Ireland and it was a great surprise. The bay of Glandore is beautiful and the Shearwater B&B a great place to stay in.
Lovely view from the room, very nice decorated, excellent breakfast, and most of all, very friendly welcome. Highly recommended
