The only thing I disliked about this place it that it wasn't for sale. It is in what must be one of Ireland's most picturesque inlets and the views over the fishing harbour are captivating. The furnishings are tasteful and of nice quality, and the house has a very relaxing atmosphere; the rooms are bright and clean; I thought the breakfasts were very good; and most of all, Adella was friendly and helpful way beyond the call of duty. To cap it all, it was very reasonably priced, with WiFi access included. Union Hall has a nice feel to it too, and it is only a few hundred meters walk to the restaurants and pubs. I stayed for one night, went somewhere further along the coast for a night, and then decided to go back to Shearwater House for another six nights until it was time to go back home.
